This past Sunday, a crew from Abiding Love Lutheran Church caught an early flight out of Austin to spend another week serving with Lutheran Disaster Response of the Carolinas. This week, they are stationed just outside of Asheville, participating in the ongoing recovery efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in 2024, when more than one million people were left without water and power.

As recovery continues, we invite you to pray for all those whose lives have been impacted by this “one-in-a-thousand” storm, as well as for the volunteers, organizations, and communities who continue to walk alongside them in hope and service.

Are you one of those delightfully distracted people who sometimes accumulates stacks of empty egg cartons with the intention of recycling, but they just keep slipping your mind and stacking even taller with everything else going on???

We at Abiding Love understand. We empathize. AND: we’re here to help! Bring us your empties during donation drop-off hours this week (Monday: 2-4pm, Tuesday-Thursday: 9am-4pm), OR, better yet, join us Sunday morning at ten for worship and bring them with you then.

🔥 Help Us Thank Our Local Firefighters! 🔥

Our brave firefighters work tirelessly to keep us safe, and now it’s our turn to show some love! Bring your donations to church and help fill gift baskets with tasty treats for our local fire station crews.
We’re collecting:
• Chips & dips (salsa, queso)
• Energy drinks & sodas
• Cheese crackers, granola & power bars
• Candy & hard fruits (apples, oranges)
• Bottled water & any other snacks you think they’ll enjoy!
Then join us in the library THIS Sunday, May 3rd, right after the 12:30 Ministry Org Chart discussion following our late service. Everyone of all ages is invited to spend about 30 minutes assembling these goodie boxes before we deliver them to our heroes.
Let’s come together as a community to share God’s love in a delicious way, every little bit helps brighten their day!
