Word for Today - A SEASON IS NOT A DESTINATION

Amos 3:3 (NKJV), “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?"

There is a blueprint to how God moves, and it is written into the very fabric of time. Most people live as if time is a flat line one day after another, random and unpredictable. But the Scriptures reveal that God operates in three distinct modes of timing, each with its own purpose, its own risk, and its own power. To know the difference is to walk in confidence instead of confusion. A season is not a destination; it is a container. It holds you for a specific purpose, and when that purpose is fulfilled, the season dissolves. A season is God's way of agreeing with you for a particular work. It is the soil in which your roots grow deep. Joseph spent thirteen years in a season of obscurity. He was thrown into a pit; sold into slavery; worked as a servant in Potiphar’s house, and then to prison. That season was not a punishment. It was a forge. Every betrayal, every false accusation, every forgotten promise was hammering something into Joseph’s character that could not be formed any other way. A season is not about what you are doing. It is about what is being done in you. The length of a season is not the measure of its value; the depth is. Do not despise the season you are in, for it is the only womb that can birth what is next. God is preparing you for greater.

Word for Today - GOD REMEMBERS YOU!

Proverbs 13:12, "hope deferred makes the heart sick,"

If you are one of the weary ones and been waiting for years for the promises of God to come to pass, you need to keep reading because this word for today is exactly what you need to hear. God wants you to know that He has not forgotten you. You may be closer to your breakthrough than you realize. God is remembering you so don’t give up. Don't stop praying, don't stop believing, and don't walk away from the promise because the waiting has become painful. Some of you have been waiting for so long that disappointment has begun to settle into your heart. You love God with all your heart, you still believe in His promises over your life, you are still trying to remain faithful, but deep inside you are so weary. You've started wondering whether you heard God correctly, whether the promise was really for you, or whether you somehow missed your moment. God wants to awaken your hope again. He does hear and answer prayers.

Word for Today - SERVE GOD!

Romans 12:11, “... not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.”

You need to be on fire for God. What it means to be on fire for God is to be in a radical pursuit of holiness, constantly pursuing the face of God, living a sanctified lifestyle, and developing a stronger, deeper relationship with the Father. You need to tend to your spiritual life as diligently as you tend to your personal life. It is a lot easier to keep a fire going than it is to restart one. The same is true about your fire for God and for your spiritual walk; you have to continually foster it. Most people encounter God, but they don't steward their encounters afterward by reading the Word every day and living by the principles written in it. Joshua 1:8 says, "Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do" (NLT). When you consistently meditate on the Word of God in your mind and speak it out of your mouth, you begin to build faith and develop belief for the things God has promised you. Stewardship of encounter is crucial, because sanctification comes after salvation. Once you are saved, you begin to eradicate old behaviors, patterns, and atmospheres that no longer align with who you are.

Word for Today - WHAT CAUSES A LAND TO MOURN?

Joel 1:10 (NKJV), “The field is wasted, the land mourns; for the grain is ruined, the new wine is dried up, the oil fails."

God is revealing that His Saints need to go deeper to heal the land that mourns.
As a warrior, God wants to use you to break curses and evil ties, restore covenants, re-dig the wells and cisterns, plead the Blood of Jesus, call for redemptive gifts to come alive, and anoint the land. But has the land been cleansed and healed that grieves? There is a distinction. Where abject sin has taken place on the land, the land always grieves until it is cleansed and healed. There are many scriptures that have been overlooked which prove that the land can mourn from sin, which results in harm to the people living there. This is fact and not metaphor, since there is a true spiritual connection between land and humanity and their corresponding grief. The prophet Joel describes how the land mourned due to the sin of rejecting God, and the drought following was not by natural circumstances. The sin resulted in crops being destroyed and the land becoming desolate, lifeless. When the land mourned, the people of that land mourned as well.

Word for Today - PRAISE and THEN RETURN PRAISING

Psalm 106:1, “Praise the LORD! Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.”

You are called to PRAISE! As worship began to break out, God wants you to praise Him. There is no excuse to resist praise. If you praise God, things will shift. You are holding onto the weight of an intercession. If you put things in God’s hands, He will fix it, kill it, change it, and rearrange it! When you look at it the next time, you won't see that situation the same way. If you will praise God over the last death that you had to go through, He will cause you to be dancing over any situation that has come to quench you from prospering in the days ahead. War is here, and the world is shaking, but the earth is full of God’s glory. If you enter into praise, you are going to experience God’s glory. You can't break into praise without receiving God’s Spirit. Receive the Holy Spirit and experience God’s glory as you praise Him. What needs to be shifted in the earth will be shifted as you praise.
