We're so grateful for the incredible team from Cleveland Worship Center who gave their time and talents to build this ramp, making daily life safer and more accessible for a neighbor in need. What may seem like a simple project creates lasting freedom, independence, and hope for the recipient and their family.

Our Hall County students may be enjoying summer break, but they're never far from our hearts!

As families enjoy the slower pace of summer, we're praying for every child we have the privilege of serving: that they would be safe, healthy, and encouraged in the months ahead. We can't wait to be back packing bags and serving our students again this fall.

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy as a nation and give thanks to God for His many blessings. As we gather with family and friends, may we remember those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom and continue to pray for our communities, our leaders, and our country.

Team Spotlight ⭐ Keri Carpenter

Keri serves as our Backpack Love Coordinator and has been in the role for the past one and a half years, while also serving as a board member for the last four years. She is married to her husband, Lance, and together they have three children. Her heart for serving others and helping those who may not be able to help themselves is what first drew her to the ministry.

One of Keri’s favorite parts of serving is delivering Birthday Ministry packages to children in the Backpack Love program. One delivery especially stood out to her when a little girl was so excited about receiving her birthday package that she checked in every five minutes for the hour leading up to the delivery. When Keri arrived, the child was jumping up and down with excitement and gratitude, a moment that Keri says truly blessed her heart.

Keri shares that working with Straight Street Ministry has deeply strengthened her faith. She loves seeing how God provides in unexpected ways and says one of the greatest blessings has been watching Him weave miracles into everyday moments throughout the ministry.

And one fun fact about Keri? She proudly wears a size 11.5 shoe!

A huge thank you to ZF Group Gainesville for supporting our Backpack Love program!

Their team generously collected peanut butter and canned meats to help stock our shelves and provide food for local students experiencing food insecurity. Every donation helps us continue serving children and families in our community, and we're grateful for partners like ZF Group Gainesville who are making a tangible impact. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us ensure more children have food each weekend!

At Beautiful Feet, equine therapy is one of the many ways our residents experience healing, growth, and restoration. Time spent with these gentle animals helps build trust, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy connections, all in a peaceful environment where women can continue taking steps toward freedom.

Every part of our program is designed to support lasting transformation, one step at a time.

As another Backpack Love school year comes to a close, we want to say THANK YOU to every volunteer who helped make this ministry possible.

To the volunteers who packed bags week after week, thank you for serving faithfully behind the scenes and making sure every child was cared for with consistency and love.

To those who hosted food drives, donated items, and rallied your communities to give, thank you for helping keep our shelves stocked so families could be supported all year long.

And to our delivery volunteers who gave their time to load cars, drive routes, and show up no matter the weather or schedule, thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to so many students and families.

Because of each of you, children in our community were reminded all school year long that they are seen, valued, and loved. We are so grateful for every hour served, every bag packed, and every act of kindness given through Backpack Love this year. 🎒💙

After many years of faithful service, Christina Robeson has made the decision to step down from her role as Director of Beautiful Feet to focus on caring for her family during this season.

We are deeply grateful for Christina's dedication to Straight Street Ministry and the countless hours she has invested in the women who have walked through the Beautiful Feet program. Her compassion, leadership, and commitment to seeing lives transformed have left a lasting impact on our ministry and the many women she has served over the years.

Please join us in thanking Christina for her years of faithful service and in praying for her and her family as they enter this new chapter.

Beautiful Feet will continue to operate under its current leadership structure, and we remain committed to serving and supporting women on their journey toward healing, hope, and restoration.
