There’s this person that likes a particular organization. She goes to their meetings sometimes, she respects the leader, she believes what they believe, but she never joins the organization to become a member. That’s what happens when someone simply goes to church, respects God, believes the Bible, but never says the prayer of salvation to become a member of the body of Christ. Just going to the meeting doesn’t make you a member. God has a membership process called the prayer of salvation and membership has its benefits. Membership not only saves our soul from eternal fire but also entitles us to certain benefits called the promises of God. Psalms 103:2-3 tells us to forget not his benefits, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Romans 10:9 lays out the membership process. Below is a sample prayer of salvation based on Romans 10:9.

Prayer of Salvation:
Lord you said in your word that we all have sinned so Lord I repent for all of my sins. I renounce all covenants with evil and all false gods. Lord I confess with my mouth that Jesus is the Son of God and Jesus Christ is Lord. I believe in my heart that Jesus died for my sins because he loved me so much, that he defeated death, and rose again with all authority in his hands, which he gave to me as a Believer in Christ. Lord I believe your word, that according to my confession and my belief, I am saved. Thank you Lord for saving me and making me a member of the body of Christ and an heir of God through Christ. You are my Father and I am your child. Thank you Lord for all the benefits that you have made available to me as a Believer in Christ. I receive all of my benefits and my full inheritance including healing in my body and deliverance from poverty or lack in every area of my life. In Jesus name. Amen.

That secret place is prayer. Abiding under the shadow of the Almighty speaks of a divine covering of protection that is available to those who pray. Our covering is in prayer. Make sure you are covered everyday and don’t forget to cover the nation as you pray.

🚨This is not a time to fear but a time to pray. 🚨Last week on our prayer line the Lord revealed to me that something dark is coming and we need to pray. Today on the prayer line I kept hearing something about war on our land. That is the plan of the enemy but God is inviting us to pray that we may stop the plans of the enemy or at least minimize the effects. We the body of Christ are called the House of Prayer. This is a time for every Believer to pray. Cover this nation under the blood, cover your city, your household, your family and your friends.

Prayer: 🛐Lord we repent on behalf of this nation for every sin that the enemy is using against this nation. We repent for all sins of idolatry, sexual immorality, innocent bloodshed, unbelief, and all covenants with evil. Cleanse us with the blood of Jesus, forgive these sins, dismantle every evil covenant and destroy every evil altar. We decree and declare that every weapon formed agaisnt this nation must fail right now in Jesus name. We condemn every word of judgment that was spoken over this nation and command those words to fail. We shine the light of Jesus into the darkness. We decree and declare that the light shall prevail and the darkness must fail. We decree and declare there shall be no war in our land, no violence and no bloodshed. We cancel every demonic attack and every cyber attack against this nation. We send confusion into the enemy’s camp. We decree and declare that the enemy is confused, confounded and utterly defeated. We speak life and peace over this nation. We decree and declare blessings and favor over this nation. Lord let the grace for prayer be upon your people that we may truly pray without ceasing and stop every wicked plan of the enemy. In Jesus name. Amen. 🚨🙏🏾🙏🏾

Never stop praying. Always pray and always believe. Prayer works even if we don’t see something right away. Some things may take time and some things may require spiritual warfare to see the manifestation of your prayers but prayer works!

Jesus himself celebrated the Passover because he is the fulfillment of the Passover. This is why Jesus had to die and did die during the Passover. Also, what we call the last supper was actually the Passover meal that Jesus ate with his disciples. Jesus became the Passover lamb that was traditionally eaten during the Passover. It is for this reason that Jesus told them they would eat of his body and drink of his blood. This was not a literal eating of his body but was symbolic to show that he is the Passover lamb. This symbolism was then memorialized through communion where we eat of the bread that represents the body of Jesus and we drink of the wine that represents the blood of Jesus. This is how communion was instituted at the Passover meal.

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus was a miracle itself just like the events that originally started the Passover celebration was a miracle. It was a miracle that death passed over the children of Israel and they essentially defeated death. Through the cross, Jesus defeated death and for those who believe in Christ, death must pass over them because they have eternal life. It was also a miracle that they escaped Egypt when God parted the Red Sea for their escape. Therefore one of the things we can expect during the Passover is miracles. As we remember the miracle of the cross during the Passover, also be in expectation for miracles to happen in your own life and around the world. Happy Passover.

The events that commemorate the Passover gives us a picture of what we can expect at this appointed time for the Passover. In Exodus 12 is where the Passover was instituted and it states in part: Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt (Exodus 12:13). This means the spirit of death that would afflict Egypt would pass over them and not touch them. This is a picture of deliverance and salvation which evolved from the blood of a lamb to the blood of Jesus. Therefore, at this appointed time, we can be in expectation of deliverance from evil. Pray the Lord covers you with the blood of Jesus and command all evil to pass over you and not touch you! Decree and declare deliverance from every evil spirit of sickness, poverty, lack, addictions, and anything that hinders the will of God for your life. The Passover is God’s appointed time for deliverance and salvation among other things. Pray for yourself and others in these areas. Happy Passover.

Knowing the origin of something is oftentimes important for understanding. While God instituted the Passover through the Jews, it is important that we view the Passover not through the Jews but through Jesus. The problem with the way many Jewish people celebrate the Passover and the other Holy feasts is that they never get to Jesus. Jesus is the fulfillment of each of the Holy feasts. It is important to note at this point that there are two types of Jews when it comes to spirituality. We have the Orthodox Jews who still reject Jesus as the Son of God and we have the Messianic Jews who do in fact believe in Jesus. While the Old Testament gives us a picture of these Holy Feasts, it is through the New Testament that these feasts evolve or are otherwise fulfilled. The Orthodox Jews stop at the Old Testament in their celebration while the Messianic Jews and Christians who celebrate these Holy feasts, continue to celebrate the evolution of the Passover as reflected in the New Testament through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

For instance the Passover was initially instituted in Exodus 12 as a week long celebration to commemorate the miraculous signs and wonders that God worked through Moses, to deliver the Israelites from the bo***ge of slavery in Egypt. For the working of the most symbolic miracle, the Israelites were instructed to kill an unblemished lamb and wipe the blood of the lamb across their doorpost. They were then told that when the plague of death came through, it would PASS OVER every household on which the blood was pasted and it did. Jesus would later become that unblemished lamb according to 1 Peter 1:19, whose precious blood was shed on the cross, to deliver us from death and bo***ge. Here you can see the difference in the way the Orthodox Jews celebrate the Passover and the way Christians celebrate the Passover. Jesus is the reason for the Passover and without the shedding of his blood there would be no deliverance from death and bo***ge. Happy Passover!

Jesus spoke the words below a few days before his crucifixion. He understood that his death was necessary and he began preparing his disciples for his death through the very words below. The wheat explained in his parable could not produce more wheat unless it was broken off or otherwise died, and the seed is buried into the ground. In the same way, Jesus would die and be buried into the ground but like a seed, his burial would produce more life. April 22-April 30, 2024 is the official week of the Passover which includes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, but because we are on the Gregorian calendar instead of the Hebrew calendar, the dates do not coincide this year. However, on Sunday the western world celebrates anyway as the day he was resurrected from the dead based on their calendar. But because Jesus died and rose according to the Hebrew calendar, then that calendar determines the official passover celebration. We celebrate the resurrection anyways because there’s no harm in celebrating the resurrection twice as long as we show up for the appointed time in April and celebrate that also.
