They send a solicitation for advertising disguised as an official invoice. This company is not affiliated with us or our bulletin publisher.

Please do not send them any money! The only advertisers we use would call from LPI.

The 6th annual All Aboard Atchison Match Day is TOMORROW! Providing a financial gift to the St. Benedict Parish Endowment will have a bigger impact thanks to the Atchison Foundation.

Donations of $25 or more made on the 14th will earn a proportional match based on the percentage of total donations, up to $5,000 in matching funds. 100% of donations given to the Parish Endowment comes back to the parish and will be used for supporting the upkeep of parish churches and other buildings.

You can support us in three ways:
▪️donate in person by attending the Match Day Happy Hour TOMORROW, Friday, August 14 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at the Atchison Event Center
▪️give online at AllAboardAtchison.com on August 14 between 12:00am and 11:59pm
▪️mail a completed donation form and check in time so that it is RECEIVED on August 14 to the Atchison Foundation at PO Box 387, Atchison, KS 66002

This past Sunday, our parish joyfully celebrated the recent ordination to the priesthood of Fr. Christopher Mulholland, CSC, a 2015 graduate of Maur Hill-Mount Academy and the son of parishioners Edward and Valerie Mulholland.

Fr. Chris celebrated a beautiful Mass of Thanksgiving at the 10:30am Mass at St. Benedict Church. Afterwards, he gave blessings at the parish-wide reception in the Senecal Gym at St. Benedict Catholic School.

We give thanks to the Lord for Fr. Chris and his courageous “yes” to God’s call to the priesthood of Jesus Christ. Please continue to keep him in your prayers as he continues his ministry at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church in Austin, Texas.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Serra Club of the Atchison Region for their outstanding work in organizing this celebration and for their ongoing dedication to supporting and fostering priestly and religious vocations.

Fr. Skoch will be at our parish this evening at 7:30pm to give a short talk about vocations, followed by Q & A. Enter SBCS through the 2nd or 3rd Street lower level doors and join us in the newly renovated meeting room (formerly the chapel).

In response to the U.S. bishops' consecration of our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our parish is working to consecrate more and more homes to His Sacred Heart through the beautiful tradition of Home Enthronement.

We are seeking parishioners who would like to serve on an Enthronement Team, helping families prepare for and celebrate the enthronement of their homes. If you are interested in being part of this ministry, please contact the parish office!

Today, we honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a heart that burns of love for each and every one of us, as if we were the only person to love. ❤️‍🔥
The message Jesus gives to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, a simple nun in late sixteenth-century France, follows this same story of God’s infinite love -- divine love comes to us through Christ, who takes on our own human flesh and has a human heart. This love desires nothing short of our salvation and sanctification.
