Thank you all who have participated in the archdiocesan pastoral planning process over the past few months through the Beatitudes small groups and listening sessions. Archbishop McKnight is asking for all in our community to take part in sharing your thoughts, experiences, and hopes for the archdiocese by taking the survey below. In 2026, the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas launched a pastoral planning process called Renewal from the Heartland, and I am excited to share this opportunity for you to participate in its third phase.

The first phase, Beatitudes from the Heartland, was a small group series offering reflections on scripture and Church documents regarding the responsibilities we all share as baptized Catholics within our parishes and other ecclesial communities.

The second phase, Listening with the Heart, offered prayerful settings for people from all walks of life to listen to one another regarding two prompts: 1) Please share a story about your experience with the Church that has shaped you. 2) What is the Holy Spirit asking of us?

This third phase is an Archdiocesan-wide Synodal Survey built directly from responses collected from 1000+ phase 2 participants. Responses from both phases 2 and 3 will serve as the source material for the archdiocesan pastoral planning process which I will initiate at a diocesan convocation for parish leaders on September 12, 2026.

I urge you to participate in the survey. Your voice is vital to the mission of the Church in our archdiocese!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Parish-wide Pentecost 'Preciation Pig Roast Potluck Picnic Party on Sunday. It was a perfect day to pray, share a meal, converse, and play games as a parish community. More photos will be posted on the Picnic event page.

Thank you also to the Stewardship Committee, as well as the many parishioners and community members who came together to put on this annual event!

We would also like to thank those who signed up for liturgical ministries at the picnic. One of the reasons why we have the picnic is to thank the parishioners who have heard and responded to the call to serve the Church in one, if not more, of the liturgical ministries that we have for our parish Masses. If you did not get an opportunity to sign up for a liturgical ministry, our Stewardship Committee will be available after the 7am, 9am, 10:30am, and 11am Masses TOMORROW, Sunday, May 31 to help you sign up. Happy Feast of St. Isidore, patron of farmers!
Let us pray today for his intercession:

Almighty God, you gave to man the opportunity to harvest the good things of Your creation and to build up Your Kingdom.

By the prayers and holy example of St. Isidore, inspire us to be diligent in our laboring and to have trustful hearts that rely totally on you.

Through the intercession of your faithful servant St. Isidore, help all who sow and labor in the fields to be rewarded with plentiful harvests.

We ask this through Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You for ever and ever. Amen.

🌟Father Chris Mulholland C.S.C🌟

This past weekend, we celebrated Good Shepherd Sunday, which is also World Day of Prayer for Vocations. We continue to celebrate and rejoice in Fr. Christopher Mulholland's Ordination a few weeks ago, where several parishioners gathered at Notre Dame to celebrate with him!

Let us continue praying for Father Chris and all young men and women, that God may give them the gift of understanding to discern their service in the Church, the priesthood, diaconate, or consecrated life; and for the gift of courage to follow His call.
