What a day! I hope everybody got to be outside at least a little bit. Because it looks like a lot of rain in the forecast.

We’ll meet at the library in Washburn on Sunday at 10 am. (Ellie, we use the side door on 3rd Street to get to the basement.)

Bring whatever is on your mind and in your heart, whatever you’ve been doing, ruminating about or remembering. We want to hear about it.

Due to the severe snowstorm predictions, Chequamegon Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will not have a service tomorrow, March 15. The service will be rescheduled to Sunday, March 29th at 9 AM at the Ashland United Methodist Church and available on ZOOM. The New Member Ceremony will be held on that date. Sending warm wishes for safety and comfort.

RE Classrooms – Project Update
Thanks to the folks who have said they might be able to help unload the truck delivering the RE partitions. A delivery date and time is expected early this week, and I will contact you all when I get it. To be added to the list, please text or email

The financial aspect of the RE Classrooms - Project
From Ed Calhan:

All of this is possible thanks to 20 CUUF members and friends who have donated over $9,000 towards this $23,000 project as of Jan 5. By adding $4,000 from the RE project fund and using all of a recent $10,000 extraordinary donation, we can
build these 6 RE classrooms without drawing on reserves. If you can help us reduce what we need to take from the RE project fund, please consider making a contribution to the project.

There will be a donation box and envelopes on the
welcoming table during January and February services.

Readers Musical Theater
"These Three Things"
Singers, dancers, and readers, (especially youth and those young at heart) are wanted for an LGBTQ-friendly musical theater piece entitled "These Three Things" This event is designed to lift up people who are vilified and misunderstood by illustrating three teachings from Jesus and Bhudda: respect, share, and heal.

This 23-minute production requires a minimal practice commitment. Rehearsals are Sunday, January 18 and 25, 4:00-5:30 pm at Stone Soup in Ashland. The performance is Sunday, February 1, 4:00 pm, also at Stone Soup.
