First United Methodist Preschool Half Day Preschool Program providing love and care for children 15 months-5 years of age. Located in Asheboro, NC

The First United Methodist Preschool program will provide a happy environment for your child, in which learning is based on clear goals of self development, resulting in fruitful activities and fun. This stress free environment allows each child the freedom to progress at his/her own rate. It is our hope and prayer that from this informal learning experience there emerges a child who has a positiv

e self-concept; a child who is physically, emotionally, and spiritually coordinated; a child who learns to function in a group of children and adults; a child who is learning to appreciate and enjoy God’s world and the people who share the world with them; who can use language to communicate with others, to express themselves in many ways; in summary a child who is curious and wants to learn. This is a pre-school program designed to provide readiness for kindergarten. Readiness is not reading, writing, adding and subtracting for the preschooler. Instead it is interacting with others and engaging in planned activities through play that will enable him to perform these skills successfully later. Therefore, throughout our entire program you will see "work" disguised as play.

Mark your calendars for Play Pals! This is for new and currently enrolled preschool students (this also includes this year’s graduates!) and will be held on selected Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM.

These drop-off play days are a wonderful opportunity for new students to get to know one another, become familiar with our preschool setting, and enjoy time playing, creating, and making new friends. It is also a great opportunity for returning students to see their friends, make new ones… and have some summer fun!

Families will drop off and pick up at the scheduled times, but will not stay during the program.

Please see the Information below for details. There is no preregistration as this is a first come first served event.

What a wonderful day of learning, laughter, and exploration! ✨
On Tuesday, May 5th, our preschoolers, families, and staff enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to the Miriam P. Brenner Children’s Museum in Greensboro. From hands-on play to discovering new things together, the day was full of special memories.

Thank you to all of our amazing parents and guardians for sharing this joyful adventure with us and helping make the day so meaningful for our children. We loved spending the day learning and playing alongside you all! 💛

What a special time we had at our Mother’s Day Tea with our wonderful 3’s class and their sweet mothers and grandmothers. 💕

The room was filled with smiles, laughter, sweet conversations, and so much love as we celebrated the incredible women who mean so much to our little ones. The children were so excited to share the special gifts they made with love for their mothers, and everyone enjoyed yummy treats and tea together. ☕🌸

Thank you for sharing your morning with us and for allowing us to be part of such precious memories. We are so thankful for our preschool families and the love that fills our school each day. ✨
