Week 9 — The Kingdom of Trust
Matthew 6:19–34
Summary:
In a world marked by worry, uncertainty, and constant striving, Jesus invites us into a different way of living—the way of trust. In Matthew 6:19–34, Jesus teaches that our treasures reveal our loyalties, our worries expose where we place our trust, and true freedom is found in seeking God’s Kingdom first. Rather than being ruled by anxiety about tomorrow, Kingdom people learn to rest in the care of a loving Father who knows their needs and faithfully provides. Jesus does not call us to ignore life’s challenges but to face them with confidence, knowing that God’s presence and provision are greater than our fears.
Bottom Line:
Kingdom people are not ruled by anxiety because they are rooted in the Father’s care.
Key Verse:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” — Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
