This morning at Central Baptist, we continue our journey through Colossians with Colossians 1:24–29. Paul reminds us that gospel ministry is costly, Christ must remain at the center, and our labor is empowered by His strength.

Our hope is not in ourselves or our circumstances—it is Christ in us, the hope of glory.

COMMUNITY YARD SALE — SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
Everyone is welcome! On Saturday, September 26, from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, we will be hosting a Community Yard Sale on the church grounds.
This is not a church fundraiser. Anyone: church members, families, friends, or people from the community is welcome to bring items to sell. Participants keep all proceeds from their own sales. Each seller will be responsible for bringing, displaying, and selling their own items.
And, of course, Pastor Gary will be grilling hot dogs! 🌭
Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to participate or come shop. Let's enjoy a fun morning of fellowship and community!

Today in the 11am worship service at Central Baptist Church: We continue our expositional journey through Colossians with Colossians 1:21–23.

We were once alienated from God, but through the death of Christ, we have been reconciled to Him. Now Paul calls us to remain “grounded and settled” in the faith and not be moved away from the hope of the gospel.

Reconciled to God. Grounded in Christ. Standing firm in the Gospel.

This morning at Central Baptist Church, we continue our expositional journey through Colossians with Colossians 1:15–21. Paul gives us one of the clearest pictures in Scripture of the supremacy, sufficiency, and glory of Jesus Christ.

Christ is above all creation, before all things, the Head of the church, and the One through whom we are reconciled to God.

Join us this morning at Central Baptist Church!

Today we continue our verse-by-verse journey through Colossians in our sermon series, Christ Above All. Our message from Colossians 1:9–14 is titled:

"Full Knowledge, Faithful Walk: The Cycle of Spiritual Growth."

In this remarkable prayer of the Apostle Paul, we'll discover that spiritual maturity begins with knowing God's will, grows through faithful obedience, and results in lives that bear fruit for the glory of Christ.

We also have a special reason to celebrate today as five people will be joining our church family! We thank the Lord for His continued faithfulness in building His church, and we would love for you to worship with us as we rejoice together.

Due to the storms overnight, Central Baptist Church is currently without electricity.

As a result, Sunday School (10:00 a.m.) has been canceled.

However, because our sanctuary has plenty of natural light, we are planning to hold our 11:00 a.m. Worship Service as scheduled. Unless conditions change, we look forward to gathering together to worship the Lord.

Join us this Sunday for a special time of worship as we celebrate the blessing of children through a Baby Dedication Service.

Our message, "For This Child I Prayed," from 1 Samuel 1:27-28, will remind us that children are a precious gift from God and that parents, families, and the church all share the privilege of nurturing the next generation in faith.

Whether you have young children, grown children, grandchildren, or simply desire to encourage families in our church, we invite you to be part of this meaningful service.
