Today we learned a fun lesson from the childhood of Benjamin Franklin! As a young boy, Ben spent all the money he had on a whistle and later realized he had paid far too much for it! 🎶
Just like Ben learned an important lesson about what is truly valuable, we were reminded today that we can sometimes put too much time, attention, and importance on things that don’t really matter.
The most important thing we can do is put JESUS FIRST in our lives!
When Jesus is first, He helps us make wise choices and reminds us of what is truly valuable.

Our Midway Youth Group enjoyed showing off their handcrafted cross necklaces after learning that following Jesus isn’t always easy but the reward is worth it! Jesus sees our potential and loves us!

After dinner tonight, we made Fruit of the Spirit prayer bookmarks as a reminder to keep our hearts focused on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Then it was kids vs. adults for a fun game of kiddie pool kickball, followed by fruity popsicles which were the perfect way to end a summer evening together! 🍓 🫐 🍌
