Happy Monday Church! This week in God Goes to the Movies, we turn to Remarkably Bright Creatures.

This beautiful story invites us to think about grief, loneliness, unexpected friendship, and the surprising ways healing can find us. Sometimes God’s grace shows up through the most unlikely connections—and sometimes the people, or creatures, we least expect help us see what we could not see on our own.

The Arcola and Crossroads Mission Team has arrived safely in North Carolina and is ready for a week of serving with Carolina Cross Connection!

Today in worship, we were honored to receive a plaque from our Girl Scout troops in gratitude for opening our building as a place where they can gather, learn, lead, and serve.

What a joy it is to be a church that makes room for our community. We believe our building is not just for us; it is a place of welcome, connection, growth, and service. When groups like the Girl Scouts meet here, they are doing meaningful work that helps shape young leaders, build friendships, and strengthen our wider community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support their good work and celebrate all the ways they are learning to make the world a better place.

Thank you, Girl Scouts, for this beautiful recognition. We are blessed to be part of your story!

🎬 This Sunday begins our summer movie series: God Goes to the Movies!

We’ll gather for worship at 9AM & 11AM, in person and online, as we explore how the stories we watch can point us toward God’s story of grace, love, friendship, courage, and transformation.

This week we begin with Madagascar — a fun story that reminds us we are not meant to navigate life alone. God gives us friendships and community that shape us, challenge us, and help us become who we were created to be.

Invite a friend, bring your family, and join us for worship as we begin this fun and meaningful summer series together. We can’t wait to worship with you! 🍿
