A. Likeness of the Kingdom of Heaven and Leaven
1. Read Luke 13:20-21
2. Yeast is a microscopic single-celled fungus that feeds on sugars and carbohydrates.
3. Yeast is a natural process called fermentation, which releases alcohol and carbon dioxide that converts into gas that increases the volume and texture of the dough.
4. There are different types of yeast depending on their use and each one has a specific function in the kitchen or in industry.
5. The most important types of yeast are: A} Yeast
Bakery. B) Chemical yeast. and C) Nutritional Yeast.
6. In the Old and New Testaments, leaven symbolizes:
A) Sin and evil. B) Hypocrisy and false doctrines.
C) The Passover and unleavened bread. {Galatians 5:9)
{1 Corinthians 5:6-7} {Matthew 16:6) {Luke 12:1) (Exodus 12:15) (Leviticus 2:11)
7. Only Jesus used leaven as a positive metaphor
comparing the Kingdom of heaven to a little leaven. (Matthew 13:33)

B. Final Thoughts
1. Jesus uses leaven to symbolize the transforming power and expansive capacity of the gospel that grows from small to impact the whole world.
2. The gospel is the message of the good news of salvation and eternal life to mankind. (Matthew 28:20-22)

A. Relation of the Pearl of Great Price and the Kingdom of Heaven
1. Read Matthew 13:45-46
2. In the time of Jesus, a pearl of quality was considered the most valuable object of the ancient world surpassing gold and diamonds.
3. The value of the pearl included the shape, size, color, thickness of the mother-of-pearl and the luster of the surface.
4. The pearls represented the symbol of maximum status,
wealth and power in antiquity.

B. Final Thoughts
1. The Kingdom of Heaven is the pearl of great price for
humanity because it represents the message of salvation,
mercy, grace, wisdom, and eternal life through our Faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:13-14}
2. There is nothing more valuable about the riches of the earth than preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God because it represents God's love for the world. {John 3:16}
3. The pearl of great price represents the wisdom that is of greater value than all precious stones. {Job 28:18}
4. The Great Commission is to offer the pearl of great price to creatures and nations. {Mark 16:15} {Matthew 28:18-20}
5. We must not expose the pearl of great price to those who
curse while rejecting the gospel. {Matthew 7:6)
6. The gates of the New Jerusalem are 12 pearls in a city of pure transparent gold. {Revelation 21:21}
