[email protected] We believe this is God’s plan for His church.

Christians only grow in the context of fellowship. Our aim is to be as committed to one another as we are committed to Christ. Most believers don’t lack commitment, but oftentimes we are overly committed to the wrong things. Jesus had no problem asking people for a great commitment (Luke 14:33). He has committed to us the message of reconciliation (II Cor 5:19). So we ask members to totally commit

ourselves to Christ, His Church and His Commission. A person must obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After hearing the Gospel (Rom 10:17) by faith this person must believe (Heb 11:6), repent of past sins (Acts 17:30), Confess Jesus to be Lord (Romans 10:9-10) and be baptized into Christ (Gal 3:27). This member then declares that he or she understands this congregation’s vision, strategy and structure. He or she publicly commits himself or herself to God and to the other members ( Rom 12:5).God expects us not only to be faithful but to be fruitful (John 15: 8)

What happens when people place their confidence in symbols, traditions, or positions instead of a genuine relationship with God?

In 1 Samuel 4:12–18, Israel still had the Ark of the Covenant in their possession, but they had drifted from obedience and dependence on God. They assumed their status guaranteed victory, yet they experienced devastating loss. The passage reminds us that spiritual security is not found in what we possess or where we sit, but in our connection to God.
Join us this Sunday as we explore the difference between being seated in a place of privilege and being secure in God's presence. This message will challenge us to examine where we have placed our trust and how to remain anchored when stability seems to disappear.

Come expecting a timely word that speaks to faith, trust, and spiritual stability in uncertain times.

You’re invited to join us this Sunday at Delta Bay Community Church as Pastor Dr. Lamont Francies shares a powerful word from 1 Samuel 4:5–11, “When God Refused to be Used.”
This message reminds us that God is not a symbol to manipulate or a tool to guarantee victory. He desires obedience, reverence, and a genuine relationship with His people. Come ready to be challenged, encouraged, and transformed by the truth of God’s Word.
