After an awesome block of orienteering and back country fishing training, tomorrow begins a new series of trainings on how to hunt for our church’s boys group. Got some serious skilled experts in charge of this one. Dad’s, if you and you boys want to learn how to hunt, contact Ethan Moes or Tyke Woden or Brook Moes so you can come to the Rangers meeting tomorrow morning. Great time to jump in as the new season kicks off. Good times with good dads and their sons.

How does the house become beautiful? By gathering together.

Hebrews 10:24–25: “Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

Morning and evening worship together is the bare minimum.

Beyond that the New Testament pattern is richer still: disciples in one another’s homes, eating, praying, playing, living.

Midweek Bible study. Hymn singing in the park. Fellowship that reaches past the people we already know.

The first disciples were not first called Christians. They were called members of the Way.

The church is meant to be a thin place where the will of heaven comes down…. A living foretaste of the feast to come.

Forsake not the gathering together.

What specific gathering (beyond Sunday morning) has most helped you grow or feel known in the past year?

What would it look like for our church to become more of a “thin place” where heaven feels closer in ordinary shared life?
