Refuge Angels Camp

You are the light of the world. Not your church. Not your building. You. That is what Jesus declared in Matthew 5:14-16, and it changes everything about how we think about outreach.

Outreach is not an event on a calendar. It is what happens when followers of Jesus walk out the door and into their neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and coffee shops. Wherever we go, light goes. The greatest evangelistic tool in the world is not a crusade or a program. It is a changed life, shining in the community it lives in.

So take the basket off your light. Serve before you speak. Love boldly and generously. And when someone asks why you care, the answer is simple: because Jesus cares about you.

What if following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey? This week at Refuge, we explored what biblical discipleship actually looks like -- not a program to complete, but a life to live alongside one another.

Jesus did not call Peter and Andrew to simply agree with him. He said, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19). That one invitation holds the entire framework: follow Jesus, be formed by Jesus, and help others follow Jesus. That is discipleship.

At Refuge, we are committed to walking with you through the failures, the victories, and everything in between. As Paul reminded Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, what we receive, we pass on. One life pouring into another -- that is how the church grows.

Our Refuge Women’s Ministry had a blast at their Ice Cream Social! It was a “joy reset” with worship, prayer, ice cream and fellowship!
