Founded in 1865, we are an international religious and charitable movement organized and operated on a quasi-military pattern and are a branch of the Christian Church. Our membership includes officers (clergy), soldier/adherents (laity), members of varied activity groups and volunteers who serve as advisors, associates, and committed participants in its service function. The motivation of the organization is love of God ans a practical concern for the needs of humanity. This expressed by a spiritual ministry, the purposes of which are to preach the Gospel,disseminate Christian truths, supply basic necessities, provide personal counseling and undertake spiritual and moral regeneration and physical rehabilitation of all persons in need who come within our sphere of influence regardless of race, color, creed, sex, or age.

Clearing up some confusion for our Christmas Assistance Flyer from earlier this week. This is for Anderson/Madison County, Indiana. We will be doing our applications online this year at www.saangeltree.org as of November 1st. If you need in person assistance to fill it out, then call our office as of Nov. 2nd to get an appointment at 765-644-2538. Announcement for Christmas Applications this year! The link will be open on November 1st! If you need computer assistance, you may call our office as of Monday, November 2nd and we can schedule a time for you to come in.

Yesterday, Governor Mike Braun announced the next phase of the August disaster recovery. IDHS is advancing a coordinated housing strategy focused on transitioning disaster survivors from the existing State hotel voucher program into appropriate sheltering and longer-term solutions.

Survivors are encouraged to apply for FEMA assistance and learn what they may be eligible for. The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance is Oct. 25, 2026.

To apply for FEMA Individual Assistance, visit disasterassistance.gov or call 800-621-3362. To apply for the State Disaster Relief Fund, contact Indiana 211. Tomorrow we will have a Flood Relief Distribution from 9am-12pm. This event is for those who had flooding in their homes last month. FEMA & SBA will be present to help with questions and complete applications. See you tomorrow!
