This week was a special Game Changer! Kids learned that God leads us to friends to help one another and to encourage each other. Two men named David and Jonathan were the best friends, even though Jonathan’s father (King Saul) did not like David. Jonathan remained a loyal friend to David. Jonathan and David’s friendship reminds us that God gives us friends to help and encourage one another. Jesus came so we can have a friendship with God, and He helps your kids have friends and be good friends to others. Tell your kids about your best friend(s) and how you encourage each other. Pray with your kids to appreciate the friendship they have with God and to encourage the friends that God has given them.

Summer Worship at Davis Park is in full swing!

During our 9 AM worship service at Davis Park, we invite all children aged 5 and older to worship alongside their families on the first Sunday of each month. For the remainder of the month, First Kids classes will be held in the Lodge. This arrangement allows kids up to 5th grade to participate in their regular classes, featuring engaging and age-appropriate activities. It also provides parents with the opportunity to serve and worship while enabling our leadership to welcome new families with programming similar to what we offer downtown.

Important Reminders:

Please sign in your children at the table by the Lodge before worship begins.

Children under 3 can be dropped off in the sunroom before worship.

Kids ages 3 and older will gather in the Lodge for Large Group and stations.

For any questions regarding the Davis Park Kids programming, feel free to contact Ally Hall. We can’t wait to worship with you and your families this summer!

Take time today to pray as a family—talk and listen to God. Pray these four things:
1. Thank God that He made you for relationships with Him and with others.
2. Ask God to help you find joy and belonging with Him because He welcomes you, connects you, values you, and includes you.
3. Pray for one another.
4. Choose one or two other people to pray for—that they would accept God’s invitation to be a part of His family.

Midweek Session 4 Hyfi 1-2-3 Caption
This week, take 1 day to ask these 2 questions and spend 3 minutes talking about them: Where are different places and situations that you want to belong? What is different about the way that we belong with God?

Our first Sunday out at Davis Park was a blast! We had a great time exploring the book of Ruth this week with the kids and learning that “God Includes Us.” Ruth was a woman who, after her husband died, followed her mother-in-law Naomi to the land of Israel. Though Ruth was an outsider, she was welcomed in and included by Naomi’s people—including finding a new husband, Boaz. Kids learned that God includes all of us in His family when we trust and follow Jesus.

We worked through stations of making Bible Story puppets, playing a fun fact ball game, and making a First Kids paper chain made up of cool details about all of our kids and leaders.

We are super excited to be back at the park for our summer worship schedule. Join us at Davis Park on Sunday at 9am for our final lesson in our Huddle Up series!
