This Sunday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church

What does it mean to have faith like a child?

In a world that tells us to rely on our own strength, Jesus calls us to something different: humble trust in Him. This Sunday we'll hear the comforting promise that the true blessing of God's people is not found in what we have accomplished, but in what Christ has freely given. Through His mercy, our sins are forgiven, our burdens are lifted, and we are welcomed as beloved children of our Heavenly Father.

Join us as we gather around God's Word and Sacraments to receive His gifts of forgiveness, life, and salvation.

Wednesday Word

What comes to mind when you think of being "childlike"?

Many of us hear Jesus' words in Matthew 18:2-4 and immediately think about innocence. But Jesus points us to something deeper: humility, trust, and dependence.

A child knows they need help. A child receives gifts rather than earning them. A child trusts those who care for them.

In the same way, Jesus calls us away from self-reliance and back to simple faith in Him. Entrance into God's kingdom is not earned through greatness, achievement, or status. It is received as a gift through faith in Christ.

"Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:4)

What is one thing a child can teach us about trusting Jesus?

What does it mean to follow Jesus?

This Sunday, we'll explore Jesus' words in Matthew 16:24-25 and discover what it means to find true life by walking in His footsteps.

In a world that encourages us to follow our own path, Jesus calls us to something greater: to trust Him, take up our cross, and follow where He leads. Though the road of discipleship is not always easy, it is the path that leads to true life, lasting hope, and the joy of walking with our Savior.

Join us as we gather around God's Word, receive His gifts of grace, and lift our voices in worship.
