A former roadside attraction is now full of rusted relics, tools, and, well, junk. Some say this place is hopeless — but is it?

Kids will see restoration in the junkyard, they will explore God’s redemption plan written in Scripture to make sense of our broken world, experience His help for today, and find a promised hope for the future!

LPCC is excited to host Dr. Sam Turpin from the Titus Institute who will be leading a two part study called, "Is the Bible Trustworthy?" Sam grew up here in Edwards County. The studies will be this Wednesday (6/10) and next (6/17) from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. It is for all ages.

"Yay! I get to suffer!" (said no American ever). We're well-fed. We're well-housed. We're well-employed. We're, well, comfortable. Comfort is nice, but it can make us lazy. "La-Z-Boy" isn't just a brand, it's a condition with a cost: Lazy kids get in trouble. Lazy parents raise brats. Lazy employees get fired. Lazy couples...well, you get the idea. The same cost applies to lazy Christians: Lazy Christians breed lazy churches, and lazy churches eventually die. Suffering is a proven biblical antidote for comfort/laziness. God used it often to awaken those of His people who were unrepentant (their wilderness wandering), and to also remind them of His Sovereignty (the book of Job) and their need for Him (the prophetic books). God used suffering as a means for our salvation, except that we weren't the ones who had to suffer. He did. Suffering is still a spiritual tool that can be used for shaping our holiness. This Sunday at 10:30am, we'll be diving into this truth. So please come and worship the One who willing suffered so that you could be forgiven and find hope beyond this life. See you Sunday!
