What a fabulous group gathered for the Youth Group on Sunday April 12th for our trip to the WOW! Zone in Mankato for bowling, laser tag and pizza! There were nearly 30 of us there from 4 congregations. Next event is our Random Acts of Kindness Day on Sunday, May 3rd!!

Spring Cleaning Day at Concordia will be TOMORROW EVENING - Thursday, April 16th at 6:00 pm. Wear your comfy work clothes, bring your gloves, yard tools, leaf blowers, or other cleaning supplies and help with cleaning up the church yard and inside the church. Many hands make light the work!! Today, life and death stand side by side as we enter into Good Friday. Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake invites our friends from Redeemer Lutheran Church and the wider community to join us for a joint service of solemn devotion.
Together, we will stand at the foot of the cross to reflect on the power and glory of God even in the midst of suffering.

Good Friday Service Details
Date: Friday, April 3, 2026
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake

The Service will Feature: Proclamation of the Word: Including the reading of John’s passion account. Procession of the Cross: We will behold the life-giving cross on which was hung the Savior of the world. Ancient Bidding Prayer: Praying for the whole world as Christ’s death offers life to all. Music and Meditation: Hymns including "O Sacred Head, Now Wounded" and "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross".

We gather with the promise that the tree around which we assemble tonight is indeed a tree of life. As is our tradition, we will depart the sanctuary in silence as we anticipate the culmination of the Three Days. All are welcome.

Tonight, we gather for a solemn and significant evening in the life of the church. Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake will join our brothers and sisters at Redeemer Lutheran Church for a joint Maundy Thursday worship service.

We invite you to join us as we reflect on Christ’s final hours with his disciples and the commandment to love one another.

When: Tonight, April 2, at 6:30 PM

Where: Redeemer Lutheran Church

This meaningful service will include:

Holy Communion: The sacrament of Christ's body and blood.

First Communion: Please join us in celebrating and supporting our youth as they receive this sacrament for the first time.

Stripping of the Altar: A powerful visual conclusion to the service as we prepare for the somberness of Good Friday.

All are welcome to join us for this time of worship, community, and reflection. We look forward to seeing you there.
