😱 REAL BIBLICAL ANGELS ARE TERRIFYING MULTI-FACED CREATURES AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM OPENED WITH "DO NOT BE AFRAID" FOR A REASON

You know those cute little baby angels on greeting cards and Valentine's Day decorations? Those are based on the Roman god Cupid, not on anything in your Bible. What most people imagine when they hear the word "angel" is a glowing human with two large beautiful wings. But the angels in Scripture are far more mysterious and more intimidating than any painting or movie has ever shown.

Cherubim are not chubby babies. They are enormous powerful beings with four faces — one like a human, one like a lion, one like an ox, one like an eagle — with multiple wings and a form that is more terrifying than beautiful. And then there are the Ophanim from Ezekiel's vision — massive spinning wheels covered entirely in eyes, moving alongside the throne of God. The angels of Scripture confront us with divine mystery. For anyone who has only ever seen artistic portrayals of angels, actually reading the biblical descriptions can be startling and genuinely unsettling. We cannot say for certain what any angel looks like in their true form, but one thing Scripture makes clear is that a cherub looks very different from an archangel, and an archangel looks nothing like what any painting has ever shown. And something tells you that actually seeing one in person would be an overwhelming experience. Every time an angel showed up in Scripture, the first thing out of its mouth was "Do not be afraid." That tells you everything.

Rely on the Holy Spirit.

He will expose the lies hidden behind the voice of the enemy.
Because satan’s goal was never just destruction
it was to remove the name of Jesus from hearts
and make people depend on themselves instead of God.

ā€œBelieve in yourselfā€ sounds powerful
until your strength runs dry.
But the Holy Spirit teaches us something deeper:
not self-dependence,
but surrender.

For without Christ,
we can do nothing.
Yet through Him,
we overcome everything the enemy meant to break us.

The Holy Spirit is not weakness
He is wisdom, conviction, discernment, and power.
He reminds us that victory is not found in pride,
but in obedience.

ā€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.ā€ — Proverbs 3:5

ā€œAnd when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth.ā€ — John 16:13 šŸ™Œ

Some people love to argue. No matter what point you make, they have an opposing perspective. No matter what you've done, they've done something better. No matter what you have, they have something better, bigger, and faster. No amount of wisdom seems to deter them. Their intent isn't to learn and grow; it's to create discord and division. No sooner is the truth presented than they move on to an equally controversial tirade.

You are not called to partake in foolish arguments or verbal combat. You are called to love, pray for, and forgive others and, "so far as it depends on you", to be a peacemaker. Sometimes, the best response is no response. You can say, "I don't wish to discuss this with you". Should the person insist, it might be best to walk away rather than engage. Remember, while you cannot control what others think, say, or do, you can control how you respond.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, always. God bless.

Prayer was never meant to be something we turn to only when life falls apart. It was meant to be a daily connection with God—a conversation that continues through every season, whether we are celebrating victories or walking through difficulties.

Too often, people remember to pray only when they face a crisis, a heartbreak, a financial struggle, or an uncertain future. But God desires more than occasional emergency calls. He desires a relationship. Prayer is not simply asking for help; it is thanking God for His blessings, seeking His wisdom, sharing your heart, and growing closer to Him every day.

When prayer becomes a lifestyle, faith becomes stronger. Worries become lighter. Decisions become clearer. Peace replaces panic because you learn to bring everything to God before it becomes overwhelming. The more time you spend in prayer, the more you begin to trust God's plans, timing, and purpose for your life.

A life of prayer does not require perfect words or long speeches. Sometimes it is a simple "Thank You, God." Sometimes it is "Help me." Sometimes it is sitting quietly in His presence and trusting that He already knows what is on your heart.

Make prayer your first response, not your last option. Let it become as natural as breathing and as constant as your heartbeat. When prayer becomes your lifestyle, you'll discover that God was never far away—He was walking beside you all along.

šŸ™ā¤ļø Pray in every season. Pray in every circumstance. Pray before the problem, during the problem, and after the blessing arrives. A life connected to God is a life strengthened by His presence. āœØšŸ™ŒšŸŒæ

Most Christians have read the story of Barabbas countless times without realizing what his name actually means.

The name Barabbas comes from two Aramaic words: bar, meaning "son of," and abba, meaning "father." His name literally means "son of the father."

That makes the trial of Jesus even more remarkable because when Pilate brought the prisoners before the crowd, they were given a choice between Jesus Christ and Barabbas. On one side stood the true Son of the Father—sinless, innocent, and righteous. On the other stood a guilty criminal whose name literally meant "son of the father."

The innocent Son of the Father was condemned, while the guilty son of the father was released.

That is a powerful picture of the gospel.

But there is still another detail many people have never heard. Some of the earliest manuscripts of Matthew record Barabbas's full name as Jesus Barabbas.

If that reading is correct, the crowd was choosing between two men named Jesus: Jesus Barabbas and Jesus called Christ.

One was guilty. One was innocent.

One deserved judgment. One deserved freedom.

Yet the guilty man walked away free because the innocent man took his place.

That is exactly what Jesus did for us.

Barabbas did not earn his freedom. He did not deserve it. He was released because another man took the punishment that should have been his.

The story of Barabbas is more than a historical account. It is one of the clearest pictures of substitution in the entire Bible—a guilty man set free because an innocent Savior stood in his place.

Thank you, Jesus. šŸ™

šŸš— The Detour That Changed Everything šŸš—

One night my wife and I randomly took a different way home from Walmart.

We never go that way.

Then my wife suddenly said:
ā€œStop.ā€

There was a homeless man lying in a ditch.

We called 911 and stayed with him until help arrived.

And I kept wondering:
What if we hadn’t taken that road?

Sometimes God changes your path…
because somebody else needs you on it.

Forgiveness protects your peace.

Holding pain in your heart for a long time can quietly change you.

It can make you angry more easily. Cold toward people. Suspicious. Heavy inside.

Many people think unforgiveness only affects the person who hurt them. But often, the person carrying the deepest burden is the one refusing to let go.

That is why forgiveness matters so much.

Forgiveness does not mean pretending the pain never happened. It does not mean what they did was acceptable. And it does not always mean trust is immediately restored.

But forgiveness means choosing to release bitterness instead of allowing it to control your heart.

Jesus taught forgiveness because He understands what unforgiveness does to a person from the inside.

A heart filled with anger struggles to experience peace.
A heart filled with bitterness struggles to rest.

God wants freedom for your heart.

Sometimes forgiveness is difficult because the wound was real. The betrayal hurt deeply. The disappointment changed you. But carrying hatred for years will not heal the pain either.

Healing begins when we place our hurt before God instead of feeding it daily.

Forgiveness is not weakness. It is spiritual strength.

It says, ā€œLord, I trust You to handle what I cannot fix myself.ā€

You may still remember what happened.
You may still need time to heal.
But choosing forgiveness allows peace to slowly return to your heart again.

And sometimes, the person who becomes free through forgiveness is not the other person: it is you.

šŸ™ Short Prayer šŸ™

Lord,

You know every hurt, disappointment, betrayal, and pain hidden inside my heart.

Some wounds are difficult to release, and sometimes forgiveness feels impossible.
But I ask You today to help me let go of bitterness, anger, and resentment.
Heal the places in me that still carry pain.

Teach me to forgive the way You forgive me: with grace, patience, mercy, and wisdom.
Protect my heart from becoming hard or cold because of what others have done.
Fill me with peace that only You can give.
Help me trust You with justice, healing, and restoration.
Give me strength to release every burden I was never meant to carry alone.

Let Your love soften my heart again and lead me into freedom, peace, and healing.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Skillet frontman John Cooper recently spoke out after controversy surrounding the Dove Awards, warning that the real danger facing the Church is not simply secular culture—but Christians losing the courage to stand firmly on biblical truth.

Cooper criticized what he sees as growing compromise within parts of Christian culture and said many believers have become too afraid of backlash to boldly uphold Scripture. ā€œThey know that Christians are so wimpy and weak,ā€ he said while addressing the pressure many feel to seek cultural approval rather than obedience to Christ.

His message was this: the Church cannot remain spiritually strong if it constantly bends to the spirit of the age. Christianity was never meant to mirror culture—it was meant to transform it through truth, holiness, and unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ.
