As we begin our study of 1 Peter, we meet a transformed disciple writing to believers facing pressure, uncertainty, and suffering. Peter reminds Christians that they are God's chosen people living as exiles in a world that often opposes their faith. Before addressing suffering, holiness, and endurance, Peter points believers to the grace of God and the hope found in Jesus Christ. This introductory message lays the foundation for the series by reminding us that no matter how difficult life becomes, God calls His people to stand firm in His grace.
