Using the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11–32, this sermon explores the life-changing power of God’s grace. Grace is more than forgiveness alone—it restores what sin has damaged and transforms us into new creations in Christ. No matter how far someone has wandered, the Father still welcomes prodigals home with mercy, restoration, and hope. Through supporting passages and the closing truth of Ephesians 2:1–10, this message reminds us that we are saved by grace and changed by grace.

5-24-26 Sunday Service

On Pentecost Sunday, we reflect on the gift and work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and the church. This message explores three important questions: Who is the Holy Spirit? What does the Holy Spirit do? And why does the Holy Spirit still matter today? Through Scripture, we will see that the Holy Spirit is not merely a force or feeling, but the very presence of God dwelling within His people. The Spirit brings new life, empowers believers, produces spiritual fruit, and strengthens the church to live boldly for Christ. Pentecost reminds us that we were never meant to follow Jesus in our own strength — we were empowered by the Spirit.

National Day of Prayer 2026 Prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 6:00 pm at New Life Christian Church of Albert Lea.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend as we focus on praying for our local, state and national leaders as well as for our local communities, state and country. Prayers will be led by local leaders, pastors and civic representatives.
There will be a reception following the service in the gym.
