Begins TONIGHT! All women ages 16+ are welcome to join in on a new Bible study series! The group will meet every other Monday at 7pm in the Hearthside Room. A 7-session study series from ‘Well Watered Women’ entitled “Sweeter than Honey”. (Books can be found on several online retailers!) Grab a friend and come join other women in the Word and fellowship!

Today is National Patriots Day; a day of remembrance for the attacks and lives lost on 9/11/2001. During life-threatening situations like 9/11, we can be assured of God’s presence in the midst of it. Acts 7:55 describes a Christian who came under such attack. “Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to Heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.”

Like Stephen, we can look to God being assured, “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart” (Psalm 91:4) - Crosswalk

On Labor Day, we often think of the importance of rest. The Bible teaches us that after our work, we need time to recharge and remember the goodness of God. It’s a reminder that we are not created to be machines but rather beings who need rest in order to thrive. Taking a pause allows us to appreciate our labors, reflect on our accomplishments, and celebrate the blessings we have.

Today is "International Day of Charity", and that brings to mind one of our local missions we support - Jack Frosts Closet. Although it is hard to believe now, soon enough the weather will be getting colder and people will be needing warm outwear. Now is a good time to clean out those closets and pass along any winter wear you no longer need!
