Stony Hill United Methodist Church at 28996 Stony Hill Road, Albemarle, NC 28001--Our mission is to FOLLOW JESUS, MAKE DISCIPLES, AND TRANSFORM THE WORLD! You are welcome on Sundays to "Jesus and Java"--Coffee fellowship time in the fellowship hall, Blended Worship Service at 10:30am with choir, traditional and praise and worship music, Sunday school classes for all ages at 9:30am. Youth (Grades 6

-12) at 5pm on every other Sunday (first/third usually)
Bible Study opportunities during School year. For more information call 704-982-2605. We support outreach to the poor and needy through Stanly Community Christian Ministries, Bridge to Recovery, Mission Trips, and direct outreach to our community. United Women in Faith (FKA United Methodist Women) meets the first Monday each month hope to resume meeting soon. United Methodist Men meets the third Saturday morning monthly at 7:30am at the fellowship hall for breakfast and fellowship

Happy Saturday Stony Hill folks. Just a reminder that this Sunday (Aug. 30th) we’ll be the worshiping at 9:30 at First Methodist in Norwood.
Each month that has a 5th Sunday we have a joint service with them. And this Sunday we will worship in Norwood. So follow their page to view the service from their recording. Have a blessed weekend.

HEADS UP! 🌖🔴 This week a LUNAR ECLIPSE will be visible across the United States Thursday evening into early Friday morning (Aug 27/28)! 96% of the Moon’s visible disk will slip into Earth’s shadow. So close to totality that most of it will have a red tint while only a thin bright sliver remains.

Eastern: 12:13 AM (Friday)
Central: 11:13 PM (Thursday)
Mountain: 10:13 PM (Thursday)
Pacific: 9:13 PM (Thursday)

Only wild card of course will be your local weather, hope for the best! This should be one of the best lunar eclipses visible from the Unites States until the next total lunar eclipse in December 2028. Enjoy and get those cameras ready!
