Most people think that church is all about rules. Every sermon sounds like you're doing it wrong. You leave feeling ashamed. And there are other churches where nothing's actually wrong, as long as it makes you happy. My truth, your truth, whatever truth. You leave feeling celebrated but empty. Both are half-truths. And half-truths don't set you free.

Jesus didn't come to be a cop. He came as a contractor bringing grace and truth to build something real. If you're following him, you're part of what he's building. That means you get both the comfort of being loved completely and the challenge of being called to something greater.

Jesus doesn't grade your faith on what you believe or how much you know. He measures it by whether you can speak truth AND say it in love. That's what spiritual maturity actually looks like.

Too much truth without grace, and people feel judged. Too much grace without truth, and nothing actually changes. Jesus carried both at once, and that's the kind of faith worth growing into.

The gospel isn't just about knowing what God's against; it's about knowing what He's for. That's the difference between a half-truth that leaves you empty and a full truth that actually sets you free. Stop defining your own truth. God already did that.

What a great day at New Life!

On Sunday, we prayed over Pastor Ben and Becky as we entrusted Pastor Ben with the title and authority of Lead Pastor, declaring God’s anointing on them for this calling. We celebrate their longstanding faithfulness and contributions to New Life, and look forward with confidence to all God has ahead!

Pastors Doug and Crystal remain fully engaged as Founding Pastors, with a new focus on mentoring leaders, while continuing their teaching roles.

You're not earning salvation. Jesus already did that on the cross. You get to go share the gospel not because you have to prove something, but because you're already fully loved.

There's someone in your life that God thinks is the best person to reach them. Not your pastor. Not someone more spiritual than you. You.

The person you already know, already love, already have access to. God looked at your family, your friends, your co-workers, and decided you were the right one for the job. You're already qualified.

Nobody tells you "you're ready" before they let you follow Jesus. You show up, you let truth do its work, and somewhere in the middle of that, you realize you've been growing all along.
