Topic: Will There Be Marriage in Heaven?

By Rev. Santigie Koroma, General Overseer, The Wholeman Salvation Ministry

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 🙏🏾

Marriage is a beautiful gift from God. From the beginning, God established marriage for companionship, union, fruitfulness, and the building of family and society.

In Genesis 2:18 , God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” This shows that marriage was created to meet human companionship and earthly purpose. In Genesis 2:23-24, the Bible teaches that a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Marriage is therefore sacred, honourable, and ordained by God. But the Bible also teaches that marriage belongs to this present earthly life, not to eternity.

In Matthew 22:29-30 , Jesus corrected the Sadducees and told them they were mistaken because they did not know the Scriptures or the power of God. He clearly said that in the resurrection, people “neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.”

This does not mean that people become angels. It means that in heaven, the earthly institution of marriage will no longer operate the way it does here. There will be no need for marriage, reproduction, family expansion, or earthly household structures.

Romans 7:2 also shows that the binding power of marriage ends at death. A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives, but when death comes, that marital bond is no longer legally binding.

This reminds us that marriage is not evil, but it is temporary. It is part of God’s design for life on earth. In heaven, our joy, love, unity, and fulfilment will be complete in God.

In Revelation 21:23 , we see that the New Jerusalem does not need the sun or moon, because the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. This shows us that heaven is not simply a continuation of earthly arrangements. It is a higher, perfect, eternal life in the presence of God.

Exhortation

As believers, we must honour marriage while we are on earth, but we must also understand that marriage is not our final hope. Marriage is important, but it is not eternal. Family is precious, but salvation is greater. Earthly relationships are meaningful, but our relationship with God is the one that carries us into eternity.

In heaven, there will be no loneliness, no separation, no death, no sorrow, and no broken homes. The fullness of joy will be in the presence of the Lord.

Therefore, we must not build our hope only on marriage, family, children, or earthly companionship. These are blessings from God, but they cannot replace God.

Let us value marriage on earth, live faithfully before God, and prepare our souls for eternal life with Him.

Key Verses for the Week đź“–
Matthew 22:29-30 – In the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage.
Romans 7:2 – The binding power of marriage ends at death.
Genesis 2:18 – It is not good for man to be alone.
Revelation 21:23 – The glory of God gives heaven its light.

Weekly Nugget ✨
Marriage is a blessing for earth, but eternity belongs fully to God.

Prayer for the Week 🙏🏾

Lord, help us to understand Your purpose for marriage and eternity.
Father, teach us to value marriage without making it our final hope.

Lord, help us to honour our earthly relationships according to Your Word.
Father, prepare our hearts for the resurrection life.

Lord, remind us that earthly blessings are temporary, but Your kingdom is eternal.
Father, help us to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness.

Lord, remove every fear of loneliness, loss, or separation from our hearts.
Father, strengthen marriages on earth to reflect love, faithfulness, and godliness.
Lord, help us to live with eternity in view.
Father, let our greatest joy be found in Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

End Blessing for the Week
I bless your week in the name of Jesus Christ 🙏🏾 May the Lord give you wisdom to understand His truth, grace to honour His design for marriage, and strength to live with eternity in view. May your heart be fixed on God above all earthly things, and may your greatest joy always be found in His presence. Amen.

*Weekly Exhortation* (25.05.2026)

*Topic:* Humility: Learn to Be Humble
By *Reverend Santigie Koroma, General Overseer, The Wholeman Salvation Ministry*

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
This week’s exhortation reminds us of the importance of humility. In Luke 14:11, Jesus says, “For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Humility is not weakness. Humility is strength under the control of God. A humble person does not think too highly of himself, but gives honour to God and respects others.

Many people fall because of pride. Pride makes people refuse correction, look down on others, and forget that every blessing comes from God. But humility opens the door for grace, wisdom, and promotion.

God does not reject a humble heart. When we humble ourselves before Him, He lifts us up in His own time. Therefore, we must learn to serve, listen, forgive, accept correction, and depend on God daily.

This week, let us examine our hearts. Are we walking in pride or humility? Are we giving glory to God, or are we seeking honour for ourselves?
May the Lord give us a humble spirit and teach us to walk in obedience.

*Bible Verse*

*Luke 14:11*
Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

*Prayer of the Week*

- Father Lord, remove every spirit of pride from my heart.
- Lord, teach me to walk in humility and obedience.
- Father, help me to respect others and serve with a sincere heart.
- Lord, give me the grace to accept correction and learn from Your Word.
- Father, lift me up in Your own time and let my life bring glory to You.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Topic : *Necromancy and the Danger of Consulting the Dead*

*By Reverend Santigie Koroma, General Overseer, The Wholeman Salvation Ministry*

Dear Brethren, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This week’s exhortation warns us about necromancy, which is the practice of trying to communicate with the spirits of the dead. This includes calling on ancestors, visiting graves for spiritual consultation, offering food to the dead, or performing rituals in the name of departed relatives. I know this is a very sentisitive topic for many on the continent but I would like to speak on what the word of God says.

The Bible strictly forbids this practice of necromancy because it opens people to spiritual deception and turns their trust away from God. What God condemns remains condemned. Culture, tradition, family pressure, or yearly customs cannot make it acceptable before God.

In many societies, people still visit graveyards, especially at the beginning of the year, to speak to dead relatives, cook special meals, or perform rituals for loved ones who died many years ago. But the Word of God makes it clear that the dead do not guide the living. Our help, direction, protection, and future must come from the Lord alone.

As believers, we must not mix faith in God with forbidden traditional practices. We cannot pray to God on one hand and seek the dead on the other. The Lord is a jealous God, and He wants His people to depend fully on Him.

The dead cannot bless, protect, guide, or answer us. Only God can. Therefore, any tradition that leads people to communicate with the dead must be rejected, no matter how old or popular it may be.

True honour for our departed loved ones is not found in rituals, food offerings, or graveyard consultations. It is found in living a life that pleases God, walking in truth, and preparing ourselves for eternity.
Bible Verses

*Leviticus 19:31*
Do not turn to mediums or spiritists. Do not seek them out, for you will be defiled by them.

*Deuteronomy 18:9–12*
God warns His people not to follow the detestable practices of other nations, including consulting the dead.

*Ecclesiastes 9:5*
The living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing.

*1 Samuel 28*
King Saul consulted the woman of Endor to call up Samuel. This act showed how far Saul had fallen from trusting God.

*1 Chronicles 10:13–14*
Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord and consulted a medium instead of seeking guidance from God.

*Galatians 5:19–20*
Witchcraft and occult practices are listed among the works of the flesh.

*Acts 19:19*
Many who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them publicly, showing true repentance.

*Prayer of the Week*
- Lord, open our eyes to every tradition that is contrary to Your Word.
- Father, deliver families from the fear of ancestral spirits and occult practices.
- Lord, help us to trust You alone for guidance, protection, and provision.
- Father, break every spiritual deception connected to necromancy and idol worship.
- Lord, give us courage to reject ungodly customs, even when they are accepted by society.
- Father, let our homes and families be fully dedicated to You.

Lord, teach us to honour the dead properly, without disobeying Your Word.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
