On-site service! http://bit.ly/gtctickets Glad Tidings Church was pioneered by a Finnish missionary couple, the Kossilas. In 1957, being led by God to start a church work in the Upper Serangoon/Tampines area, this new work soon grew as neighbouring estates started to spring up due to the rapid developing of the suburban areas in Singapore.

The first services were conducted in open-air tents and it was through this channel that gospel was first made known to the people who lived around the areas. Rev William P K Lee and his wife, Rachel were the first pastors of Glad Tidings Church. The Kossilas handed over the work of pastoring to this young couple when they left Thailand. Even from the humble beginning, overseas mission work was always on the heart of Rev William P K Lee. Glad Tiding Church's first overseas mission trip was made in 1970 to Tanjong Pinang. This was just the start of many other trips that followed. Over the years, the church participated actively in training the nationals and supporting the church planters as they planted new works in various parts of Indonesia. In 2005, the responsibility of Senior Pastor was handed over to Pastor Lawrence Lee and was later passed over to Senior Pastor Rev Dr Paul in 2018.

Dear Gladtidians

This Sun (7 Nov), we will resume on-site English service, 10.15am and look forward to welcoming 50 persons back! Based on current guidelines, this service is open for vaccinated and unvaccinated persons.

Ps Whitley Sim will speak on “Missions: Crossing Seas, Generations, Cultures”. And this being the 1st Sun of the month, we’ll celebrate the Holy Communion together as a church family.

To book your tickets, head over to our link in bio from 12pm today (2 Nov). Only Zone B is available for booking. Zone B is suitable for persons with restricted mobility and need lift access.

Do note that ticket booking for the English service will stop by Sun, 9am (unless they are all taken up before that). If you have booked tickets, do show up for the service. If your plans do change and you need to cancel your ticket, pls do so by Sat, 10am by sending an email to [email protected]. If you are unable to come on-site, do tune in at our YouTube Channel for the livestream. GTKids! will continue their Zoom classes. The Youth Gen service will meet back on-site.

Let’s ALL tune in this Sun (17 Oct), 10.15am to our livestream service on GTC YouTube channel. The Foongs – Elvin & Esther – from The Treasure Box will speak and we also have our very own children leading together with the worship team!

So… gather the family or yourself to get ready a few minutes before time so that everyone can settle in and be part of our Intergen Sunday! There will be no GTKids! and Youth Gen service this Sun so let us all join in!

Dear Gladtidians

In view of the current health situation in Singapore and to safeguard everyone’s health especially that of our seniors, we will suspend our on-site English service, starting this Sun (3 Oct).

Services over the next four Sundays will be livestreamed on our YouTube channel. GTKids! will continue their Sunday school lessons online for the month of Oct. The Youth Gen service will also switch back to Zoom.

We know some of us may be weary from all the recent changes but take heart… as fellow disciples of Christ, let’s put our minds and hearts on Him for He is our peace.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

Pls reach out to a pastor or leader if you need to talk or just need prayer. We need one another in this body of Christ as we navigate through this pandemic.

✨Praise the Lord! Further to our message earlier today, we are glad to update that the member’s COVID-19 test result is negative. However as a precautionary measure, all on-site services will remain suspended this Sun (12 Sep).

Dear Gladtidians

All on-site services will be suspended this Sun (12 Sep). We are doing this because we are aware that one of our members may be COVID-19 positive. This member was present on-site last Sun (5 Sep). As such, for your health and safety, we will temporarily halt on-site services for now.

In the meantime, let’s continue to uphold the Body of Christ in prayer – for God’s protection upon our members and their loved ones.

Do tune in to our livestream at GTC YouTube channel at 10.15am instead. We have Eld Peter Lim speak on the “Baptism in the Holy Spirit”.

Dear Gladtidians

In view of the return to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), GTC will remain online only for the next 2 weeks (1 & 8 August)

This Sun is 1 Aug! Our English service remains online. We have SP Paul Ng speak on “Prayer As Warfare” as part of our ongoing prayer sermon series. And as it is the 1st Sun of the month, we’ll celebrate the Holy Communion together as a church family.

Here are three takeways from last Sun’s sermon on “Do Not Worry”. As we turn to the Lord, we are assured that

1. God truly cares for you
2. God is in control
3. God knows and is into all the details

RE-OPENING OF ENGLISH SERVICE

Dear Gladtidians

It was wonderful to see almost 50 Gladtidians and friends coming back to church last Sun! We continue with a mix of on-site and online service this Sun (18 Jul). If you plan to attend on-site service, pls book your tickets through the link in description. Only Zone B (50 pax) is available for booking.

This Sun we have Rev Tan Soo-Inn speak on The Lord’s Prayer. Rev Tan is no stranger to us as he has spoken in GTC several times. He is the author of 3-2-1: Following Jesus in Threes, a book on spiritual friendship.

RE-OPENING OF ENGLISH SERVICE ONLY

Dear Gladtidians

This Sun (11 Jul), we will resume the English (10.15am) on-site service. Based on the latest guidelines issued by MCCY, worship services may be conducted for up to 50 persons without Pre-Event Testing (PET), and up to 250 persons with PET.

We will not conduct PETs for our services as the process is costly and may cause inconvenience for our members. As such, we will not provide on-site PET testing and will cap our services to 50 persons for now. The English service livestream will continue simultaneously on our YouTube channel.

On 26th June, we had 4 youths and 3 members from the Chinese congregation who publicly declared their faith in God through Water Baptism! Although many of us were unable to be there physically to witness it, the church was still able to host the event to family members while still upholding the regulations placed by the government.

Church, let’s all congratulate our newly baptised Gladtidians! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
