To mark Catholic Education Sunday, junior members of our community stepped up to help at Mass.

With the rapidly growing number of children in our community, we pray that Singapore's Catholic schools will provide them with a Faith-filled education that nurtures the whole person: heart, mind and soul.

May the Light of our Lord Jesus Christ always shine brightly in our Catholic schools.

We are delighted to share the news of Singapore's first priest for the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP). Fr. Jeremy Chua FSSP was the first of 11 deacons ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Terrence Prendergast at the Cathedral of St. Cecilia (Omaha, Nebraska, USA) on May 29th, 2024.

Fr. Chua, an alumnus of St. Joseph's Institution and Singapore Management University, served our EF Community in Singapore faithfully for many years. Please keep him in your prayers and devotions.

We thank and praise Almighty God for our brother, Deacon Jeremy Chua FSSP, ordained to the sacred priesthood tonight at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Nebraska, USA. He is the first Singaporean to be ordained for the FSSP.

GREGORIAN CHANT: EASTER VESPERS

We are delighted that the Esplanade has invited the Schola Cantorum Sancti Gregorii Magni to share the liturgical treasures of the Church with the public once again, at its Tapestry of Sacred Music 2024.

"Set in the cavernous Concert Hall with the acoustics adjusted to replicate that of a cathedral’s, experience Easter vespers sung by the Schola Cantorum Sancti Gregorii Magni in a novel way: feel free to sit, stand, or wander around silently, and let the music stir the soul."

As both our usual Priests are overseas, the 2pm Mass this Sunday (18th June 2023), at St Joseph's Church (Vic. St.) will be celebrated in the Ordinary Form in Latin, with Gregorian chant.

We will resume EF Mass on Sunday, 25th June 2023.

On the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, Sr. Mary Anne MICM - formerly of our community - made her First Profession with the Sisters, Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Saint Benedict Center in Massachusetts, USA. This is a traditional community of apostolic Sisters in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.

This Easter we thank and praise the Risen Lord, who allowed Sr. Mary Anne to find holy friendship and her vocation through our community. We invite you to pray that she may mature and bear good fruit as a bride of Christ.

Happy Easter! We rejoice and thank the Risen Lord that Mr Jeremy Chua FSSP, our community's former Master of Ceremonies, was ordained to the Diaconate by Archbishop Thomas Gullickson on 25 March 2023, the Solemnity of the Annunciation.

Mr Chua was ordained with ten confreres in the Chapel of Ss. Peter & Paul at Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Denton, Nebraska, USA.

We invite you to keep these young men in your prayers as they continue their formation to the holy priesthood.
