💭 Ever wondered about the periods of stagnation in your growth? Did you care to closely examine who were directly influencing the choices that you made and the habits that you formed?

🌱 Our growth is largely influenced by the five closest relationships that we have—those we choose to sit at our wisdom table.

🪑Our wisdom table frames our perspective, shapes our heart, and determines the course of our next steps. If we desire to continue living out God's purpose and calling in our lives, we need to be vigilant in guarding the seats at our wisdom table.

📜 Heed to the wisdom found in the book of Proverbs. Tonight, pause and ask yourself: Whose advice am I seeking and listening to? And more importantly, who is sitting at the head of my wisdom table?

🌱 What does it take to ?

It is God's will that every believer grows in his or her faith. However, the growth of every individual is dependent on his or her heart’s condition and intentionality. Pastor Andy encouraged us with two tools to help cultivate the good soil of our heart:

1) DAILY Prayer & Bible Reading - These are how we communicate with God. His word is more precious than gold and sweeter than honey. Here are 4 steps to make the most out of it: 👂🏻 HEAR >> ♥️ ACCEPT >> ✅ APPLY >> 🔁 REPEAT

2) WEEKLY Worship - A local church is where we connect with God's people, contribute with our gifts, and cultivate a generous heart.

Let's grow together! This Saturday, 30 May, is our last weekend at Trio Mall. Starting 06 June, Saddleback Singapore Extension will be worshipping at Novotel on Stevens Road. We gather together on Saturdays at 4pm.

Last weekend, we learned powerful lessons from the Bible about how we could emulate helpful behavior modeled by young people—and avoid hurtful actions and words.

Like Samuel, we could dial down the daily noise and listen up to God's voice. Like Esther, we could step up and find ways to promote, protect and provide for others.

Like the youth who mocked the prophet Elisha, we sometimes spill out hurtful words, which we can avoid if we shush up—before saying anything, pause, pray & proceed with caution.

Like the boy with loaves and fishes, we could offer up what we have so that the Lord could use it to help others.

As we remember these lessons, which one do you sense God leading you to work on today?

As God's chosen people and royal priesthood, we have the special role and privilege of standing before God on behalf of someone who cannot or will not come to Him themselves.

We hold God's promises and power, and at the same time, lay hold of the people that we love—bringing together the mercy of God and the desperate need of those around us.

Persistent prayers can change generations. Whom do you need to pray persistent prayers for today?

🕊️ Peace in our homes and relationships is founded on a God-given vision, and guided by order and priorities in line with God's design.

🙏🏻 As you seek God's wisdom today, ask Him:
1) What peace-loving habits do I need to sow into the most important relationships in my life?
2) What expressions of bitter envy and selfish ambition do I need to w**d out?

Keep sowing peace. Our faithful God promises a harvest of righteousness.

🕊️ Our HEART is our innermost being. It is our core. PEACE in our heart flows from where we put our trust.

Nothing and no one—other than God—was intended to carry the full weight of our trust. To experience peace in our hearts, we first have to submit it to TESTING (Psalm 139:23), then commit it to TRAINING (Proverbs 4:23) and direct it to TRUSTING God alone (Proverbs 3:5-6).

⬆️ As TRUST in God goes up,
⬇️ anxiety in our heart goes down.
May we experience God's peace in our hearts today 🙏🏻

🕊️ Here's a quick recap for Week 1 of our Path to Peace series!

Pastor Andy defined PEACE as an ordered and blessed life flowing from a right relationship with God. And where is the battle for peace won? In the mind.

💭 To have peace of mind, we need to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.
1. PAUSE to evaluate every thought.
2. PROTECT our mind with God's truth.
3. PRAY to God & PRACTICE responsibility (ie, do what I CAN and let Him do what GOD CAN).

We can have peace in any season, and we can have peace now. May we fix our thoughts on God so that He can fix our thoughts 🙏🏻

Mark 2:4 ESV
And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

These friends went to extremes to bring their friend to Christ. How much are we willing to be inconvenienced to bring someone to Christ?

How much faith do we have that God will act according to His character and will?

Perhaps it's time for you to take that step of faith and introduce Christ to that friend. And, with a 'Perhaps God' attitude, trust that God will meet that friend exactly where he or she is.
