Ratha-yātrā Craft Activities:
Yesterday, the children continued working on their Lord Jagannātha Ratha-yātrā souvenir crafts. They enthusiastically participated and made excellent progress in creating their decorative hanging crafts. Their enthusiasm and excitement were truly inspiring.

📘 Elder Kids – Team Balarāma🎨
Ratha-yātrā Art Activities:
The Team Balarāma children continued painting their Ratha-yātrā souvenir bags. While enjoying the artistic process, they also showed enthusiasm in making their artwork neat and beautiful.

🌈 The class was filled with colourful activities, joyful learning, and devotional spirit. The excitement and enthusiasm for Ratha-yātrā are growing day by day, and everyone is eagerly looking forward to the festival.

🌸 Let us all come together and participate in this wonderful service to Lord Jagannātha.

📖 Kids Rathayatra Craft
Yesterday, the younger kids continued working on their craft for the Jagannatha Rathayatra souvenirs. They participated enthusiastically and made wonderful progress in creating their hanging decorations.
📘 Elder Kids – Team Balarāma
📖 Kids Rathayatra Art
Our Balarāma kids continued with their bag paintings for the Rathayatra souvenirs. While enjoying the creative process, they also focused on making their artwork neat and presentable.
🌸 Kind Reminder
Today, during our Sunday evening class, we will continue with these activities as we prepare further for the Kids Rathayatra. We hope all the kids will join and participate in this joyful service to Lord Jagannath.

🌷 ISKM GURUKULA- Nava-vidhā Bhakti Class Updates on 3rd June 2026 🌷

Hare Kṛṣṇa dear parents and children,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Today we had an exciting and interactive class on Dāsyam and Sakhyam.
We began with a Kahoot Quiz on Dāsyam and Sakhyam. It was wonderful to see the children answering most of the questions correctly. Their sincerity and enthusiasm for learning devotional topics are truly encouraging.

Congratulations to all the participants! 🎉

We then played an interesting game called " Servant of the Servant Chain. "
We started with the statement:
"I am Kṛṣṇa."
The first child would say:
"I am the servant of Kṛṣṇa."
The second child would say:
"I am the servant of the servant of Kṛṣṇa."
The chain continued with each child adding another "servant," helping everyone understand the Vaiṣṇava principle of becoming the servant of the servant of the Lord. All the children participated enthusiastically and greatly enjoyed the activity.

After the game, we recited and discussed two beautiful verses related to Servant of Servant:
📖 Mukunda-mālā-stotra – Verse 25
📖 Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Madhya-līlā 13.80
🎓 Optional Homework:
Children may learn and recite either one or both verses and send a video recording of their recitation in the group. We look forward to hearing their wonderful recitations.

Following this, the children listened to a short lecture by Śrīla Prabhupāda on Dāsyam and Sakhyam. After hearing the 2-minute audio clip twice, they were asked a few questions based on the lecture.
📝 Children who are able to write may send their answers in the group.
🎙️ Younger children who are not yet comfortable writing may record their answers as an audio message and share them in the group.

🗓️ Saturday, 30th May 2026 – Class Update

The class began with Maṅgalācaraṇa prayers, followed by preparations for our Kids Ratha Yātrā Souvenirs Stall. The items sold at this stall will be lovingly handmade by our Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma kids. 🌸

The Kṛṣṇa kids will be making Lord Jagannātha, Lord Baladeva, and Subhadrā Mā using origami.

The Balarāma kids will be designing and painting tote bags based on a Ratha Yātrā theme of their choice. Some chose to paint Lord Baladeva, while others painted Lord Jagannātha and Subhadrā Mā. A few also chose to draw the Ratha Yātrā chariot carrying the Deities.

The children thoroughly enjoyed expressing their creativity while engaging in devotional service for Lord Jagannātha. 🎨✨

These activities will continue over the next few Saturdays as the children work towards completing the souvenirs for the festival.

✨ Welcoming New Students
Today, we were delighted to warmly welcome three new children to our Krishna Kids class:
✨ Saattvik (12 years old)
✨ Sitara (8 years old)
✨ Arnav (8 years old)
They enthusiastically participated in the class activities, and we were happy to see them engaging confidently with the other children.
🙏 Maṅgalācaraṇa Prayers
The session began with the auspicious Maṅgalācaraṇa prayers, joyfully chanted by kids.

📖 Bhagavad-gītā – Setting the Scene
During the class, the children learned about an interesting episode from the Mahābhārata concerning Gāndhārī and the birth of the Kauravas. They also watched a short video depicting this historical pastime.
The children were eager to hear about these events and showed great enthusiasm throughout the session. They actively participated by reading from the presentation slides, answering questions, and engaging in discussions. It was especially wonderful to see the new children learning happily and joining in with confidence.
📘 Elder Kids – Team Balarāma
📖 Bhagavad-gītā – Chapter 2
After a quick revision of BG 2.7, we continued our discussion up to BG 2.11. The topics covered included:
• Kṛpaṇa vs. Brāhmaṇa
• The solution to the problems of the material world
• Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s happiness and frustration
• Analytical study of the material body and the soul
• Lord Kṛṣṇa’s first instruction to Arjuna
• Knowledge and the characteristics of a learned person
In the next class, we will continue our study of Chapter 2. Kindly memorize BG 2.7 and BG 2.11 in preparation for the upcoming session.
