Every year, I make it a point to visit this sacred Guan Gong Temple in Vietnam without fail. This temple is extremely well-known among the locals, and almost every day, devotees come to pray, light candles, and return their wishes 还愿 because what they asked for truly came true.

Back in February before CNY, my friend and i were going through a very difficult period in life. There were obstacles, stress, toxic situations, and certain problems that honestly felt impossible to clear at that point of time.

The kind where no matter how hard you try, everything still feels blocked.

During that period, both of us came to this Guan Gong temple and sincerely prayed for blessings, guidance, and protection to help us clear these obstacles.

We did not ask for shortcuts or miracles overnight.

We simply prayed for a smoother path, for clarity, and for strength to get through everything.

And somehow… step by step… things really started changing.

Situations slowly eased.
Roadblocks opened.
Unexpected help came.
Things that once felt completely impossible slowly found a way through.

That’s why people always say Guan Gong’s blessings are powerful and direct.

Not because life suddenly becomes perfect overnight —
but because somehow he helps open the road when everything feels blocked.

For me personally, this was about gratitude, faith, and keeping the promise we made to Guan Er Ye when we were at our lowest point.
