Tragedy in Muzaffarabad: Mourning Our National Heroes
Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the devastating loss of 22 Pakistan Army personnel who embraced martyrdom (shahadat) in the tragic Mi-17 helicopter crash near Muzaffarabad. In this moment of profound grief, we lift up our deepest prayers for the departed souls. May God grant their families the immense strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear this unimaginable loss.
Among those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation were Sobedar Major Munir Masih and Havaldar Regon Masih. Their solemn funeral service was commemorated today with full state and military honours at Christ Church, Rawalpindi.
The service was led by His Grace Nadeem Kamran, Bishop of Lahore, Church of Pakistan, who offered special prayers for the fallen soldier and the peace of the nation.
Demonstrating the nation’s unified respect for our minority heroes, top state leadership and military command attended the funeral service at Christ Church to stand in solidarity with the grieving family:
Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS)
Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan
Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister
Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Defense Minister
Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting
Senior military commanders, government dignitaries, and members of the Christian community.

Thanking God for the life and service of Bishop Inayat Masih
We give thanks to God for the faithful life and ministry of Bishop Inayat Masih, our 7th Bishop of the Diocese of Lahore and the first local Bishop to serve Lahore Diocese. Bishop Inayat led the church with humility, pastoral care, and a deep commitment to Christian witness in Pakistan.
We are grateful for his years of devotion: teaching, pastoring, building community programs, and strengthening the church’s presence across the diocese. Though he now rests with the Lord, his life of service remains an inspiration to clergy and laity alike.
Please join us in thanksgiving for his faithful ministry and in prayer for comfort for his family and all who mourn his passing. May his example continue to encourage us to serve Christ and our neighbors with the same love and dedication.

The Rt Rev Nadeem Kamran
10th Bishop of Lahore

"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

O Lord of all comfort and healer of every illness,
We lift before You our sister in leadership, Her Excellency Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab. By Your boundless mercy, may your healing touch her, strengthen her in body and spirit. Grant wisdom to the entire family and those who care for her.
Lord Jesus, You healed the sick with compassion and authority. We remember the words of the Gospel: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). May this promise be comfort for everyone.
We thank You, Father, that no condition is beyond Your power. May this time of recovery be quick, may health be fully restored, and may her life continue to serve the common good. Let this blessing flow to all who suffer in sickness here and beyond, that Your mercy may be known through every act of care.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Rt. Rev. Nadeem Kamran
Bishop of Lahore

🌸 Happy Mother's Day! The Church: Our Nurturing Mother 🌸

On this special Mother's Day, we celebrate the selfless love of mothers everywhere. But we also honor the Church, our spiritual mother, who nourishes, protects, and guides us just as a mother does to her children.
In the Bible, Isaiah 66:13 beautifully captures this: "As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you." The Church embodies this promise, feeding us with God's Word, sustaining us through trials, and helping us grow into maturity.
The Apostle Paul lived this out with the Thessalonian church, saying: "We were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children... We dealt with each of you like a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting, and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory"
(1 Thessalonians 2:7, 11-12, ESV). Paul poured himself out, nurturing them tenderly so they could thrive.
We must grow in the Church, in hard times and good times, in happiness and sadness. Through every season, our faithful growth glorifies the name of the Lord and strengthens our family of faith.
This Mother's Day, thank God for His Church, our mother. Let's commit to nurturing one another as we grow together

In a moment of gracious providence, the Lahore Diocesan Board of Education (LDBE) has launched the second branch of Premier School, under the visionary stewardship of the The Rt. Rev. Nadeem Kamran, Bishop of Lahore and Chairman LDBE. This momentous Endeavor fulfills a noble vision: to empower our community with modern education, forging a robust foundation that stands resolute against the tides of our evolving era.

Enriching early years with every essential skill, the inaugural ceremony unfolded as an action of unity. The Bishop of Lahore and Chairman graced the ribbon-cutting alongside Mrs. Rina Nadeem, President of the Women Fellowship; Rt. Rev. Irfan Jamil, former Bishop of Lahore; the LDBE Coordinator; the Principal of Cathedral School No. 1 along with the HOI of other Schools of LDBE; the Principal of Kinnaird College; and esteemed community stakeholders.
Together, they breathed life into this milestone, weaving dreams into reality for generations to come.
May this pillar of learning illuminate paths to excellence and faith.

Labour Day Message: Rest in the Lord!

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,

The Word of God declares we are laborers in His field: "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow" (1 Corinthians 3:6). On Labour Day, recommit to your vows care deeply for our toiling laborers among us, easing their burdens as Christ commands.
Jesus Himself invites: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). This is our Gospel call: Lead weary souls to Him for true spiritual freedom and everlasting rest!

The Rt. Rev. Nadeem Kamran
Bishop of Lahore

Remarkable Milestone for Punjab’s Minorities!

The Punjab Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Department has formed a High-Level Technical Committee to bolster legal protections for minorities. We’re honored that esteemed Christian clergy, professionals, activists, and politicians are now members including one of our own, stepping up to address our community’s vital needs!
This committee will:
• Engage Christian theological leaders
• Spot legal gaps in marriage, family, succession, and more
• Form working groups for practical reforms
• Build an integrated NADRA-linked system for reliable church records (births, marriages, divorces, deaths)
Heartfelt congratulations to the Punjab Government!
May this initiative bring real progress and justice for all. Amen
