Our next Aglow NZ Prayer Zoom is coming up TOMORROW Tuesday June 9th starting 7.30pm.
As usual I've copied below the latest Aglow Global Prayer Targets letter which begins with the following powerful word from our Aglow International CEO, Nancy McDaniel:
Nancy shared in a recent post about a thought she was pondering. The thought came from longtime friend of Aglow and speaker, Graham Cooke. Graham, at the time, was relaying the story of David and Goliath. As he spoke, he said that David was running towards Goliath. He wasn't running towards a battle or even, necessarily, a victory. David was running towards his destiny. He was running towards the throne!
Nancy went on to share that when she has prayed for people, including herself, who are facing difficult circumstances, her prayer has always been that they would overcome whatever the giant or the circumstance was. And then she noted, "Maybe I've been praying 'half-way' prayers."
"What if," she wrote, "overcoming the giant is only a steppingstone to destiny?"...She continued:
The Goliaths we face aren't giants postured to defeat us! They're giant stepping stones to our destiny! They're giant stepping stones to our upgrades! They're giant stepping stones to an elevated status in Him!
Praise God! What a great perspective for us today. Let us rise up with confidence, whatever is coming against us, and look up and remember who He has made us to be! Making us to become!
Added to this, I love the word Nancy shared end of last year for us to consider as we come together for prayer tomorrow evening:
"He (God) has ordained us as prophets to our nations. So, rise up in your inheritance. Be a prophet to your nation
·Speak words of life to your nation.
Speak words that break strongholds off of your nation.
Speak words that release the Glory of God in your nation.
Pray apostolic, prophetic prayers that bring spiritual breakthrough in your nation, in your family.
He has ordained you as a prophet to the nations. Now, we may not all stand on a platform and give a prophetic word over a nation, but we might. But our prayers, our proclamation, our decrees as we release them in faith prophesy in an apostolic way to bring His Word into our nations.
Lord, we release the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus over the nations of the earth!
Lord, we break off the nations of the Earth, every anti-Christ spirit that is holding our nations back from fullness in You!
Lord, we release Your glory over the nations of the Earth, knowing that the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea!
Lord, we stand in our apostolic/prophetic calling to the nations of the earth, and we declare that Your light shines in the darkness and gathers the nations at Your feet!"
Yes! As we gather to pray this Tuesday, let us come together with a greater sense of purpose and destiny - that our prayers ARE powerful and effective! Yes there are giants in the land but this is not the time to hold back but press in for the greater purposes that our God has in mind for us both as a ministry, and as part of the Body of Christ in NZ, ultimately, for the transformation of our nation: New Zealand saved! Ablaze with God's Fire and Glory! Hallelujah!

Running Towards The Throne!

That's a powerful thought!

As you consider the problem that is facing you this day, may you shift your perspective to where that problem is taking you and what that problem is designed to do for you!

Thank you to those of you who have written in and expressed your commitment to adopt a nation in prayer! Thank you for taking the time to do so, and thank you for making the commitment to pray! Will those of you who have not committed to adopting a nation in prayer consider doing so? You could adopt a nation as an Aglow group and pray as a group over the nation you adopt. We are in a time of harvest! Let's go after the harvest He has promised!

This Son is the radiance of the Sh'khinah (Divine Presence), the very expression of God's essence, upholding all that exists by His powerful word; and after He had through Himself, made purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of Ha G'dulah Ba M'romim. Hebrews 1:3
Ha G'dulah Ba M'romim means "The Greatness on High."
Father, we pray that the Jewish people will focus in on God's greatness, splendor, sovereignty, glory, and vastness, and that the things of this world will grow dim and lose their grasp on them. We pray that the Jewish people come to know Him who loves them and paid the penalty for their sins.
A Note and A Prayer
Is there a special place you go to pray - Whether it is a physical place or a place you see when you close your eyes to pray? I have both. I have a special place where I sit with the Lord when we are together through the night. But there's also a special place I see when I close my eyes in prayer. I like to think it's a special spot in Heaven. Whether it is or it's just my imagination – Jesus knows where to find me, and He does! Aren't you thankful for the scripture in James that says, "Whenever we draw near to God – He draws near to us!" Amen!
As I was thinking of Nancy's processing with the Lord about David running towards the throne and about us running towards our destiny – it took me back to my special place in my thoughts. I always see the same imagery when I close my eyes... especially if I close my eyes when I'm facing a difficult circumstance. The picture is the same! I see myself on one side of a river. And I see a pathway lined with stones that goes across the river. And on the other side of the river is Jesus standing there with a huge smile on His face, waving at me!
It's His method of helping me to see that what I am viewing as a problem, He is viewing in a much different way! And each time I dare to take that first step onto the stone in front of me, invariably, it begins to move as a conveyor belt. Before I even get my foot to the next stone, I am standing in front of Jesus on the other side! That's what Nancy was saying! The problems we face are not giants to keep us from something! They're a giant-sized doorway into a revelation, a truth, an experience, or an encounter designed for us! They can't keep us from something when they're designed to bring us into something!
Let's do some declarations:
· Lord, we declare that our problems and suffering are not to be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
· Lord, we declare that we are being transformed from one degree of glory to another! 2 Cor. 3:18
Lord, we declare in this world we will have tribulation, but we take heat! You have overcome the world! John 16:33
