MRS NDUKUBA SHARES GUIDELINES ON ENROLMENT INTO THE WOMEN’S GUILD & MOTHERS’ UNION
To maintain harmony, order, and uniform standards across all Dioceses, the President of the Church of Nigeria Mothers Union and Women’s Ministries, Mrs Angela Ndukuba, addresses the disparities in enrolment criteria across sister Dioceses.
She noted this in her address at the 27th annual diocesan women’s conference of the Diocese of Abuja holding at the Basilica of Grace Anglican Church, Gudu, Abuja.
She emphasized on the need to bridge these gaps while preserving the integrity of each guild, the agreed and approved national guidelines for all probationers are set out below:
* Establishment of the Ladies’ Guild: Every Diocese is to establish the Ladies’ Guild (also known as Priceless Jewels) to cater to young women from post-secondary school age (17–18 years) until marriage. The gap between the Girls’ Guild and the Women’s Guild must not be bridged by admitting young, unmarried women into the Women’s Guild.
* Unmarried Women in the Women’s Guild: No unmarried lady under the age of 45 years shall be admitted into the Women’s Guild.
* Married Women: There is no age limit for married women seeking admission into the Women’s Guild, provided they satisfy all other established diocesan criteria.
* Mothers’ Union Enrolment: Admission into the Mothers’ Union for qualified probationers shall take place two (2) years after full admission into the Women’s Guild.
Let us work together in unity to nurture our girls, support our women, and build God-fearing homes across the Communion.
— Mrs. Angela E. Ndukuba
