Tithe: A CALL TO HEROISM

STORY:
There was a teacher who was teaching children in class when a soldier came to kill the children. The teacher sacrificed herself to save the children. Though she died, she died like a HERO.

As Christians, we are called to inherit this same spirit of sacrificing ourselves for others.

3 LESSONS FROM TODAY:

1. The Heroes Who Built Our Church
In the beginning, there were “heroes” who worked hard to develop the church and spread the mission of God’s Word.
They sacrificed their money, resources, and time for the church to grow to this day.
There was a man who even sold his own land to promote church development.
But today, many Christians have a “what about me” attitude - selfishness. We only fulfill our own personal needs.

2. Walk With Christ, Fear Nothing
To do these things, we must understand and believe that we are walking with Christ Himself.
There is nothing to be afraid of, because the One we follow is the greatest.

3. Heroism = Sacrifice + Prayer
Being a “hero” is not only about sacrificing yourself.
We must also pray to the Lord Almighty to be with us and to put that spirit of heroism in us.

Please note: Not everyone will be happy with you, even in church.
But we must trust God in whatever we do.
There were men here in church who used to drink alcohol until they couldn’t even drive their own cars, but today they are good Christians. God changes lives!

CLOSING:
AS CHRISTIANS WE NEED TO LOVE, SACRIFICE OURSELVES FOR OTHERS, BUT MOST OF ALL WE SHOULD TRUST AND BELIEVE FULLY IN THE LORD ALMIGHTY. Amen.
