BIBLE CLASS
TADZIWE PROGRAM SE15 EP2
Guest; Moffat Mtegha
*1,when did you join Bible Class?* It must have been 1985/86. We were part of the early cohort, when Bible Class had just started.
*2, what or who insipered you to join Bc?* My friends Rodgers and Gerald Kafera, they were brothers and encouraged me to join BC.
*3, who was your best friend or friends that time?* Rodgers Kafera, his brother Gerald Kafera, Willie Perenje, George Makaika. We had a quartet i.e. Rodgers, Willie, Gerald and I and we used to minister in church and at Keswick youth meetings and I used to play an acoustic guitar.
*4,what have you benefited?* A lot. Mfundisi Banda used to invite us to his house where he could spend more time teaching us Gods word apart from the time Bible Class was taking place on Sunday. He made learning the word of God exciting, so that I could look forward to the next BC. It was at this time that a seed was planted in my life to love God's word and developed a deep hunger.
*5,what's the difference between your time and now?* In our time mfundisi would take us to his house and we could play games as young people and he could in between be teaching us the word of God. Today BC has grown so much and if mfundisi was to invite all of of us to his home he would need a stadium. This is an amazing thing that God has done.
*6, give two or 3 names of Bible class members during ur time* Rodgers Kafera, Willie Perenje, Gerald Kafera, George Makaika.
*7, what was the best theme of your time?* Living a life pleasing to God. This is when I learnt that we are to live a life that pleases God just like Joseph did though he was miles away from his family. This helped me a lot when I went to college. I remembered that though college gives you freedom to do what you want as a child of God you are expected to live a life that pleases Him and
pleases Him and by His grace I did that.
*8, anything you would like to add?* I can not talk about my walk with God and calling as a pastor without mentioning BC. God used this ministry to set me on a path that I find myself on today and I am grateful and give Him all the glory. It is my prayer that God will continue to grow this ministry even more.
*9,Where do you live at the moment?* New Napaeri.
*10,What do you do for a living?* I pastor KICC Blantyre Church. I also work at Afrox Malawi Limited as the Country Manager. I am a worship leader and recording artist.
