Christ Alive Village Mission has a story of its inception. It came about the need that was seen in the work of the church; especially the work of the church in rural areas. I was born and grew up in the village, the rural area away from the city. I was a member of a church but I did not clearly know what it meant to be a christian. After my primary education I went to do secondary education in the
city of Blantyre. It was during the time of my secondary education that I had for the first time heard a well communicated gospel about Christ and I accepted him as my Lord and savior. From that time I had a great desire to take the gospel into the rural area - villages that are far away from our cities. I noted that most church leaders in our rural areas were not familiar with the word of God. In some cases leaders were not born again. I then started taking the gospel into my home village which is far away from the city. God saved several friends from my home areas. Some of them are today trained pastors. I still take the gospel into my home area and I always pray that my home area shall not lack dedicated ministers of the word of God. God has been training me since then through experience and theological studies. I always say that as long as I live and preach the word of God - I will be a student of the word of God. Today as I am writing this note we have acquired a land near Mdeka close to Zalewa where we want to build a training centre for church leaders. It is my request that people of God stand with us in prayer for our ministry as we seek the hand of God that whatever is needed for the construction of this centre be available. Christ Alive Village Mission is today involved mainly in conducting seminars in our villages and also conducting evangelistic meetings. Our teaching staff continues upgrading their theological education. Our greatest desire is to combat error with sound teaching of the word of God. Time and again I get disturbed when I find people deceived by false teachers. It is claimed by some that God has anointed them that if you give them an amount of money they will pray for it and you and you will always have money in your pocket. My desire is that people know the word of God. If they know the word of God they will be protected from these deceivers. Teachings of people must be tested by the word of God. We believe that if every believer in our country takes the gospel into his or her home village they our country will be fully evangelized. JOIN US, PRAY FOR US- God bless.
