Friday Lunch Hour Service Message Summary: Heart Issues| Pastor Sta

Yesterday we prayed and asked God, the revealer of the heart, to help us. We prayed against everything contrary to His word.

As we continue this series, let’s keep asking the Holy Spirit to reveal what is in our hearts. The Bible says the heart is deceitful, and only God knows it. James 1:14 reminds us that we are lured and enticed by our own desire. We prayed against desires that do not align with God’s desires for our lives.

The real source of temptation is our heart. Mark 7:21-23 says, "For from within, out of the heart of men, come evil thoughts." Temptation starts on the inside. We cannot be tempted by something that is not already a desire we are carrying.

There is a process to sin:
First, a desire.
Then that desire conceives when we entertain and agree with the thought.
Then it brings forth sin.
And sin brings death.

Even Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that whoever looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Sin begins in the heart before the action. That’s why we can look "holy" on the outside, but God is calling us to deal with what is inside.

Sometimes we wonder why things are not working in our lives. We need to go back and check our thoughts. What have you been entertaining all day? David cried in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." He knew that without a clean heart, the presence of the Lord would not remain.

God is not just calling us to manage behavior. He is calling us to have a new heart. Because temptation will come, but we must deal with the heart that produces it.

Steps to overcome:
1. Ask God to expose your heart - Psalm 139:23 "Search me, O God, and know my heart."
2. Replace ungodly desires with Godly desires- Colossians 3:1-2. Set your mind on things above. Let the mind of Christ be in you. Focus on God’s plans for your life.
3. Willpower alone is not enough. You overcome a wrong desire with a greater desire for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Guard your heart, because out of it flow the issues of life.
4. Stop the blame game. Take responsibility. Maturity says, "I will deal with this." Don’t keep holding on to what happened 20 or 30 years ago. Give God your broken heart and He will give you a new one.

What you speak also reveals what is in your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

3 prayer points:
1. What am I feeding that is making this temptation stronger in my life?
2. Will I genuinely ask God for a new heart and new desires, or am I comfortable where I am?
3. Pray Psalm 51:10 for a clean heart and a renewed spirit.

Let the process start now.

Father, we pray in the mighty name of Jesus that you create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Forgive us for the things we have held on to that do not glorify your name. Heal every broken heart. We desire your presence more than anything. We thank you and we praise you in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Prayer Points: For The Heart led by Pastor Sta

1. Father, we pray against the deceitfulness of the heart. Jeremiah 17:9-10. We acknowledge that only You know the heart.

2. Lord, purge our hearts from lies, hidden sin, pride, bitterness, selfishness, and every sickness in the heart that only You see.

3. Father, reveal to us sins known and sins not known. Cleanse us from hidden things that hinder our breakthrough and our intimate relationship with You.

4. Lord, break generational cycles of bitterness and other evil patterns passed from generation to generation. Let every iniquity be broken.

5. Abba Father, create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Do not take Your Holy Spirit from us.

6. Holy Spirit, help us to be willing to let go. Help us to forgive those who have hurt us. Remove resentment, anger, and bitterness from our hearts.

7. Father, comfort every person who is hurting, disappointed, or whose expectations have not been met. Give them the grace to forgive and to trust You for healing.

8. Lord, teach us to guard our hearts with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23. Give us a filter by Your Word.

9. Father, remove every desire that is not of You. Plant God-given desires in our hearts that align with Your will and bring glory to Your name.

10. Lord, we refuse to be enticed by our own desires that lead us into sin. James 1:14-15. Strengthen us to walk in Your ways.

11. Holy Spirit, search our hearts. Saturate us. Empower us to walk in alignment with Your Word and to execute what You have ordained for us.

In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen.

📩Save this post and constantly pray for yourself
Share it with someone so they are also blessed

Wednesday Lunch Hour Service Message Summary: Guard Your Mind| Apostle UC

Today we were reminded that the Word of God is alive and active, but it needs us to partner with it. Saying "Amen" is more than words. Amen means "I am active". Faith without works is dead. We must believe the Word, seek it, and put it into action for us to see it manifest.

We also talked about protecting our mind. Failure in life, marriage, ministry, and business often starts in the mind. It comes from being deceived, confused, or losing trust. The biggest attack is on trust. When we stop trusting God because prayers seem unanswered or things get worse, we open the door to doubt.

Proverbs 4:23 - Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life.
What you allow into your mind will shape your life. Bad company corrupts good character. That is why we must be careful with what we watch, who we spend time with, and what we allow in our homes and in our children’s lives.

Philippians 4:8 - Think on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely and of good report. Meditate on the Word day and night. When the enemy brings thoughts, reject them and replace them with scripture.

God is looking for people who will stay faithful even when it’s hard. Don’t forget your past victories. The same God who delivered David from the lion, the bear and Goliath is with you today. He has not changed.

Do not grow weary. Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning. You may be closer to your breakthrough than you think. Keep praying, keep giving, keep serving, and keep believing.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you. I will strengthen you and uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God is with us.

Tuesday Lunch Hour Service Message Summary| Apostle UC
Our focus was on protecting our thoughts and guarding our mind in this season, because the mind is key to everything.

We learned that most failure in business, marriage, ministry and life comes from 3 things in the mind:
1. A mind that has been deceived
2. A mind that is confused
3. A mind that cannot trust

The biggest one is trust. When trust is broken in a relationship, the relationship struggles. It is the same with God. Many people stop trusting God when what they prayed for does not happen, or when things get worse instead of better. The enemy uses that to deceive us.

Proverbs 4:23 says: Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the issues of life.
The heart here means your mind, emotions and will. What you allow to go into your mind will shape what comes out of your life. Bad company corrupts good morals. That is why we must be careful about what we watch, who we spend time with, and what we allow in our homes and in our children’s lives.

Philippians 4:8 reminds us what to fill our minds with: Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report. Meditate on these things.

How do we win?
By meditating on the Word day and night. When the enemy brings thoughts of doubt and fear, we reject them and replace them with what God says. The Word is alive, true, and it programs our mind to walk in victory.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5

God is good all the time. Keep trusting Him. Keep your mind on Him.

Sunday Service Message Summary: Faith in Action; Storms| Apostle UC
Today we were reminded that obedience does not mean exemption from storms. Jesus Himself told the disciples to cross to the other side. Even in obedience, storms came.

Two things stood out:

1. Jesus is not asleep in your storm.
The disciples thought Jesus was sleeping and said, "Teacher, do you not care?" But the Bible shows Jesus "arose". He was not asleep. He was in control. His presence is your protection. Even when it feels like God is silent, He is with you.

2. Storms are for growth, not destruction.
Jesus calmed the wind and the sea and showed His authority over nature. The storm was not meant to destroy God’s promise. It was meant to reveal who Jesus is and to grow their faith.
James 1:2-4 reminds us to count it all joy when we face trials, because the testing of our faith produces patience.

What do we do in the storm?
Take your worries to God first, that is how you handle challenges in a storm. Philippians 4:6-7 says: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Always remember to introduce prayer when a challenge comes, then supplication and thanksgiving. After this, the peace which surpasses all understanding comes to you.

Do not ask fearful people for answers in a fearful season. Go to the Master. Trust that the same God who was with you before is with you now. Storms will come, but they will not destroy what God has promised.

Remember: You are not just surviving. God wants to use the storm to develop your faith, your patience, and your testimony.
