As we continue with the Gospel John, this past Sunday we focused in John 2:1-11.
The Gospel of John was written so that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing we may have life in His Name.
In John 2:1-2, the Bible tells us that Jesus's mother was invited to the wedding in Cana and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited. When the wine ran out, Jesus's mother told him and Jesus asked," what has this concern of yours to do with me, woman, my hour has not yet come".
What did Jesus mean by "my hour" has not yet come?, Because it is used several times in the Gospel of John. It is referred to the time of His crucifixion, meaning at the beginning of the Gospel, John is foreshadowing how Jesus Himself is the bride groom and His time has not yet come.
Let us remember family, that Jesus is the bride groom and He has told us that He has to go away to perform bride groom duties, He is going to prepare a place for me and you.
Jesus has chosen us, loved us , called us to Himself and says you are my bride and I am preparing for you a place in my Father's House.
