Let us pray;
Father God, we sometimes forget to remember to celebrate the wonderful coming of Jesus, the true reason we celebrate Christmas. We get distracted by the things of this world. This year I pray that we will embrace Your Son more fully. Amen.

Being a Christian requires being different and having higher standards in many areas of our lives. Our daily decisions should be based on Godly goals, not worldly ones. We are to avoid excessive indulgences, foul language, gossiping, endorsing movies, or music that degrades people, and using God’s name in vain. We should spend time daily in prayer and reading our Bible in order to grow closer to our loving Father. This is how we can discern His will for us and have the strength to carry it out. God desires our happiness. When we have good and loving standards to live by it brings us that happiness.
