On May 17, Our Lady Queen of Peace bid a heartfelt farewell to the Thompson Family. The Thompsons were devoted members of the Catholic community, faithfully serving through the Altar Server and Choir ministries, as well as participating in CWOC and the Knights of Columbus.

Ms. Erin was especially instrumental in leading the Stations of the Cross pilgrimages, the Shadow Ecumenical Stations of the Cross, and weekly Adoration, helping foster prayer and spiritual reflection within the community.

Fathers Ben and Joseph offered prayers of gratitude and blessings for the family as they prepare to PCS. We thank the Thompson Family for their faithful service and the many ways they enriched our parish community.

They will be missed. May God continue to guide and bless them on their faith journey and future endeavors.

The Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Community bid farewell to two cherished members, Mr. Mark and Seokyung (Maria) Smith, during their final Mass with the congregation. Since 2018, they have faithfully served our community as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, a member of the Knights of Columbus and CWOC, CRE catechists, and a chapel sacristan.

Through their devotion to Our Lord and their generous service to His people, they have been a true blessing to our parish family. They will be greatly missed. Please keep Mark and Maria in your prayers as they begin this next chapter and continue to follow God’s call in their lives.

Fathers Reutemann, Mora Gomez, and Joseph celebrated a Memorial Day Mass at the Commodore Hotel in Busan in honor of the fallen servicemen and women who gave their lives in faithful service and sacrifice. Following the Mass, the group gathered together for breakfast and fellowship before traveling to the UN Memorial Cemetery to pay their respects and remember those who served with courage and devotion. May we continue to keep our fallen heroes and their families in our prayers with gratitude and hope.

Father Ben offered prayers of thanksgiving and a special blessing for the Rivers Family in gratitude for their faithful service to the Catholic community at Camp Humphreys.
Throughout their time with Our Lady Queen of Peace, the family generously participated in the Knights of Columbus, CWOC, CRE, Adult Faith Formation, and Altar Service ministries. Their children also received the sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation within our parish community.
Their presence and dedication will be greatly missed. May God continue to bless and guide the Rivers Family in all their future endeavors.

The Our Lady Queen of Peace congregation recently offered a heartfelt farewell and prayers of blessing to one of our choir cantors and a devoted member of CYA as she begins her next chapter of service in the Army. As she prepares to take command at Camp Casey, we thank her for sharing her time, faith, and musical talents with our community. The OLQP Catholic Communities from Camp Humphreys and Osan Air Base participated in the annual Memorial Day pilgrimage to the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan. Together, the group honored fallen service members and veterans laid to rest in Korea by offering flowers and placing U.S. flags at gravesites in remembrance and gratitude for their sacrifice and service.
