Congratulations to Father Mora Gomez who celebrated 30 years as an ordained Catholic priest this past Sunday, 16 August 2026. The Camp Humphreys Catholic Community is blessed by his spiritual guidance and wisdom. Let us continue to pray for Father Mora Gomez, and all priests, especially those serving here in South Korea and in the Archdiocese for the Military Services 🙏🏼

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Saturday, August 15, Catholics under the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS): because it falls on a Saturday this year, it is not a holy day of obligation for the faithful under AMS jurisdiction.

However, the Assumption is one of the great solemnities of the Church. Even though attendance is not obligatory this year, I strongly encourage you, if you are able, to make the effort to attend Mass and celebrate this beautiful feast of Our Blessed Mother.

St. Carlo Acutis is in Pyeongtaek!

A local Korean parish is currently presenting a relic of St. Carlo Acutis for veneration! This is a momentous opportunity to personally encounter the first millenial Saint. We recommend bringing a rosary to touch to the reliquary to preserve your own third class relic. If you need a rosary, please reach out to the OLQP Rosary Makers ❤️

Our annual Ministry Fair is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the ways our community is engaged in spreading the faith. The Catholic Community bid farewell and offered blessings to the Crist Family for their last mass at Camp Humphreys before their PAC for their next duty station in Hawaii. Chamberlain was a faithful altar server since receiving the sacrament of holy communion last May. May God guide them on their journey and continue to bless with in faith.
