“Last night was an incredible evening spent underneath the stars at St Barnabas Cathedral. It was wonderful to hear from the talented restoration team about the process and work involved to restore it to Pugin’s original design. My favourite part was seeing the ‘windows’ through to the original artwork, allowing us to glance into the past. Such a special evening!”

✨ Something beautiful happened at Nottingham Cathedral this time last weekend and we can’t stop thinking about it.

35 people, of all ages and walks of life, said YES.

Yes to belonging. Yes to being loved. Yes to a life they didn’t expect to want - until they encountered something (Someone) they couldn’t walk away from.

Many of them are in their 20s and 30s. Some had been searching for years. Some were brought by a friend who simply said: just come and see.’

This is what our parish and diocese exists for.

This is what encountering Jesus looks like in real life- and it changes everything.

If you’ve ever wondered what Catholicism is actually about, or if you have a friend who’s been asking questions they don’t know how to voice — next Easter could be their moment.
