In Luke 7, Jesus meets a woman whose life had gone badly wrong. We will see both the depth of God’s grace and its power to transform. It’s a challenging and deeply encouraging passage that speaks to all of us, whatever our past.

Join us Tuesdays at 1.10pm or Thursdays 12.15pm for our 30 minutes lunchtime talks. Also live-streamed on YouTube (link in bio).

We often look at the world 🌍 —or our own lives—and wonder whether God has failed to deliver on what he promised. 🤔That was the question of Daniel’s readers. 🤔😔🤔But as Daniel 9 shows us, God hadn’t failed them; he has kept every one of his promises. In fact, God is doing far more than they realised.🥳

Christians face death with a unique confidence: Jesus is coming again. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18, Paul points us to the resurrection hope that turns even the grave into a place of expectation.

John the Baptist knew who Jesus was. Yet sitting in prison, he sent messengers to ask: ‘Are you the one who is to come?’

Why? Because Jesus wasn’t doing what John expected the Messiah to do. Evil remained. The wicked weren’t being judged. God’s kingdom didn’t seem to be arriving as anticipated.

Jesus answered by pointing John back to the signs of Isaiah: the blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear, and the good news is preached to the poor. In other words: watch me fulfil the Scriptures.

The day of judgment would come, but first comes the day of grace. First comes the call to repent. First comes God’s patience toward a world that needs mercy.

When we look at our lives and wonder why God hasn’t rescued us from every evil, suffering, or injustice, we remember John’s question—and Jesus’ answer.

God’s justice has not been cancelled. It has been postponed.

A former NASA scientist explains how astronomers trusted simulations to predict galaxies they couldn’t yet see—and why he believes faith works in a similar way.

Sometimes belief isn’t about ignoring evidence. It’s about following it where it leads.

Life can feel like white-water rafting through dangerous rapids. As the waters churn around us, countless voices offer rescue. Daniel 6 exposes the limits of even the most powerful and well-intentioned human saviours. God alone can truly deliver. When the river of life finally throws us from the boat—as one day it must—whose arm will we be found holding?

The first item on Paul’s list of new behaviours for a new Christian disciple is s*x. The Christian gospel is nothing if not applied. The Christian community will be radically different because the Christian disciple has been called holy by the holy God.
