We were delighted to host the first event in this year's European Poetry Festival - a celebration of contemporary Norwegian poetry. How glorious for the church to be filled with such creativity & innovative approaches to performance. A particularly excellent depiction of Samuel Pepys by S.J.Fowler with ballad singing by the Norwegian musician and specialist in seventeenth century British vocal music, Sean Bell. A huge thank you to Fr John Barker from our neighbouring parish of All Hallows by the Tower, pictured here with Churchwardens Graham and Brian, some of our Tuesday lunchtime congregation and members of our Community Choir.

We are so grateful to John for all his help and support particularly during the interregnum (the period when we had no priest here). We will miss John and his wife Ella as they leave the UK to move to Sicily, where John has been appointed as the new Chaplain of the Anglican Church in Palermo.

A few pics of some of the lovely people who joined us for guided tours as part of the London Festival of Architecture exploring the architecture of the church and the stories of the people who have belonged here over nearly 1,000 years of continuous history. We are still glowing from all the positive feedback! Thank you to all who helped to welcome our visitors and serve tea and cake.

Such a joy to welcome The Princess Royal to St Olave Hart Street for the annual Trinitytide Service in her capacity as Master of Trinity House and to read of her charity and generosity to others en-route. The 'woman from the church' mentioned in the article to whom she gave her umbrella was the Acting Bishop of London who was the guest preacher at the service and it was lovely to welcome Bishop Emma here for the first time.

The Princess Royal was walking in the wet conditions outside St Olaves Church in central London when she noticed a Church member covering her head with a folder.
