Today we finished our Seven Days of Creation project! 🌍✨

The children have worked really hard learning all seven days, discussing God’s creation, and remembering that God made them too and that we are all part of His creation.

Our project is at the back of the church, please take a look! And if you see one of the children who worked on it, ask them about it. They’d love to tell you what they’ve learned! 💛

Today is a special day - at Blackburn Cathedral where James Cowley was commissioned as an ordinand (training to be a vicar) at Emmanuel Theological College.

Today, we looked at the seventh day of creation and learned about the importance of Sabbath rest. We discussed why we need to rest and why God wants us to take time to pause, reflect, and spend time with Him.

Genesis 2:2–3 says, “By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.”

We then continued working on our project and putting into practice what we have learned. 🎨🫟👩🏼‍🎨👨‍🎨😴💤💤💤💤

What a wonderful final Summer Club! 🌞🌧️

Despite a little rain, we still had lots of fun.

A huge thank you to Joan and Heather, who have worked tirelessly in the kitchen each week, preparing dinner for over 40 people. You are incredible, and we really appreciate everything you do! 👏❤️

It’s been wonderful seeing so many families enjoying our church grounds, playing games, having faces painted and enjoying lots of party fun.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us and helped make Summer Club so special! 💕
