We are last generation to fear our parents.
And the first generation to fear our kids.

Everything happens as it should. Every moment, decision, choice, encounter, person, mistake, lesson, step forwards, step backwards, heartbreak, love, failure, breakthrough, dream...are the little dots that create the sum of your entire life. Each experience leads to the next and although in the present moment it may seem that everything is scattered and all over the place, one day soon you will be able to connect the dots between each part of your life. When you do, you will have the realization that a life void of even just one of those dots, would not have made you the person that you are. Trust that in this life, everything happens as it should, in a way that is right for you. Maintain that faith, and you will experience the liberation that you are seeking.

It’s easy to be polite with strangers and sharp with the people we love. But the Prophet ﷺ taught the opposite — true character shows at home, with those who see us unfiltered.

Gentleness with loved ones is not weakness; it’s prophetic strength.

🌿 A Soft Reminder: Kind Words & Good Assumptions in Islam

💛 1. Kind speech is an act of worship

Allah elevates good words to the level of charity. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“A good word is charity.”

It costs nothing, yet it can heal, uplift, and bring tranquillity into a relationship. Especially with those closest to us — family, friends, loved ones — kind words are a form of rahmah we’re commanded to embody.

🌙 2. Thinking well of others is a sign of a clean heart

Islam teaches us to assume the best unless proven otherwise. Allah says:

“Avoid much suspicion; indeed, some suspicion is sin.”
(Qur’an 49:12)

Good assumptions protect relationships. Bad assumptions poison them. When we choose husn al‑dhann (good opinion), we choose peace over paranoia, clarity over whispers, and unity over division.
