LMYG is the pinnacle Muslim Youth Group serving the Muslim and wider communities in/around Leeds; creating opportunities for Social, Spiritual and Holistic education development Leeds Muslim Youth Group is a young persons community group created to serve and support the Muslim and wider non-Muslim communities of Leeds

The objectives of “Leeds Muslim Youth Group” shall be:
1. To establish adequate

permanent facilities to create a positive environment for continued learning and self-improvement.
3. To create awareness and an atmosphere of respect, integrity and acceptability for people of all Cultures, Religions and Denominations.
4. To develop community projects that will improve the community spirit and self-reliance within the Leeds Muslim Community
5. To develop Interfaith and Intrafaith dialogue between religious and non-religious groups in and around Leeds

A dark night. The kingdom of a cruel king. In a sacred temple, a woman preparing for worship lights a lamp only to be startled by a much brighter light. An angel conveys the heavenly news of a blessed child. Jesus, peace be upon him.

A reverent and atmospherically rich performance of the story of the prophet known as the Spirit of God follows, from his miraculous birth to his glorious ascension to heaven.

Khayaal’s Christmas performance storytelling offering (40mins) presents an episodic account of the life of Jesus interspersed with his teachings from the Qur’an and the Bible based on traditional Islamic and Christian sources. Solo theatre performance by Eleanor Martin, followed by a Q&A panel with community leaders.

We are pleased to announce a new English-language programme called “The Contact Zone” for Friday evenings at the Dar.

The programme includes a short, engaging talk by an expert, followed by Q&A and light refreshments and is being trialled until the end of the year. We will be exploring the theme of “Community” as we all work together to re-establish our activities.
