A trip down memory lane at Tea & Memories! 🌸

This month, we took a nostalgic journey back to holidays from the past and childhood memories. ☀️⛱️🐚

There were lots of smiles as participants enjoyed a fun, holiday-themed quiz, browsed old holiday postcards and brochures, and listened to some wonderful Wurlitzer music. 🎶

We also got our hands busy with some fascinating kinetic sand! It’s mess-free, stretchy and great fun to mould and shape — a perfect sensory activity. 😊

And then came a very special visitor… 🐶Ned, a beautiful and very friendly dog, who was more than happy to receive plenty of attention!

To finish off our morning, we enjoyed a delicious plum cake, generously donated by the fantastic team at Café Plenty on Station Road, Hampton. Thank you! 🍰💕

It was another lovely morning filled with conversation, laughter, memories and friendship. ❤️

We can’t wait to welcome all our lovely families for a morning packed with creative crafts, messy play, fun activities and plenty of smiles! 🎨🖌️✨

It’s a great chance to get together, have some fun and enjoy Messy Church as a family. ❤️

We had a sports-themed Tea & Memories today with a quiz, word search and musical “guess the sport theme tune”. There were 12 sporting themes to guess including the themes from Grandstand, Match of the Day, Pot Black, F1 and more!

There were also Wimbledon strawberries and cream and delicious raspberry cupcakes.

We finished by singing and swaying along to the rousing football anthem “Sweet Caroline”.

Tea & Memories will take a break over the summer and return on Friday, 4th September at 11am (no August session). If you are living with, or caring for someone living with, memory loss or dementia you are most welcome to join us.

Our last Tea & Memories before the summer break is this Friday 3rd July, from 11am-12.30pm. If you or a loved one is living with dementia or memory loss you are warmly welcomed to join us.

With Wimbledon 💜and World Cup football ⚽️ in full swing we will have sport-themed activities including a table and music quiz, a fun target activity 🎾 and Wimbledon-themed refreshments.

No pre-booking necessary, just turn up.

At our recent Tea & Memories the theme was summer flowers, fruit and veg. Alongside some challenging quiz questions our participants tried to identify various fruit and vegetables. We also enjoyed looking at some beautiful photographs of flowers kindly donated by Margaret Squires.

Everyone enjoyed a trip down memory lane talking about past memories.

Café Plenty in Station Rd, Hampton provided a lovely strawberries and cream cake - as ever, a huge thank you. There was an added bonus of Hazel’s delicious jam tarts.

Next session, before the summer break is Friday 3rd July (no Tea & Memories in August).

Games was the theme of this month’s Tea & Memories. Participants enjoyed Shove Ha’penny, Connect 4, an active floor game, Jenga and 80s game, Simon!

We also had a quiz and a round of Scattergories.

Cafe Plenty, Hampton, kindly donated a delicious Battenberg.

Our next session is Friday, 5th June.
