This week we will be returning to our series on the gospel of Matthew, when Joe will be looking at the first half of Matthew chapter 19.

Straight after the service, there will also be an extended time of worship.

There will be children’s groups for all primary-aged children and below, with an opportunity for lots of fun, stories, activities, games and discussion. There will be separate groups for pre-schoolers and Reception to Year 5.

This week our youth will also be meeting during the morning.

Extended worship

On Sunday 14th June after the morning service we will be having a relaxed extended time to worship together and wait in God’s presence (for about half an hour). This is part of our exploration of finding new ways for us all to connect in worship.

It’s open to everyone to stay and join in but especially for those already involved in worship or those interested in becoming involved. Just come and join in for as long or short a time as you feel able. Children of any age are welcome too.

This week we have a very special 10am gathering which will be a service of Baptism & Confirmation, where we’ll be joined by Bishop Emma. It promises to be a time of rejoicing and celebration, as we mark the initiation into the family of God’s people, the Church.

(As there are quite a number of people being baptised / confirmed, please note that we expect the service to run a little longer than usual).

During part of the service, there will be children’s groups for all primary-aged children and below, with an opportunity for lots of fun, stories, activities, games and discussion. There will be separate groups for pre-schoolers and Reception to Year 5.

This week our youth will be meeting in the evening.

Prayer - and worship!

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians to set aside time—especially in the days between Ascension and Pentecost—to pray for others to come to know the love of Jesus.

As part of this, we will be holding a ‘12 Hours of Prayer’ day, this Thursday 21st May - creating a dedicated space for our church family to come together in continuous prayer.

To start and finish the 12 hours of prayer we will be joining together to worship and celebrate at 7am and 7pm. All are welcome to come along to begin and end this special day together.

This week at our 10am gathering, Joe will be continuing our series leading up to our Baptism / Confirmation service on 7th June, by looking at what it means to be ‘Sealed’.

If you are interested in exploring being baptised or confirmed, then please do contact Joe ([email protected]) who would be delighted to chat to you about it.

There are no children’s groups this week, as it is the beginning of half-term, but there will be some activities for the children to do in church during part of the service.

Can’t make it in person? Tune into our livestream on our church page.
