Everyone is welcome to our ‘Tuesday Evening Talks’. Our own minister, Revd Godfrey Chikaviro, is our first speaker following the summer break on 8th Sept at 7:30pm.

Our next walk is on Sunday 13th September at 2pm around the newly opened Wellholme Park and surrounding area.

We will meet at Wellholme Park car park on Thornhill Beck Lane, Brighouse. Nearest postcode – HD6 4AH. From Bradford Road, turn onto Thornhill Beck Lane, drive through the ford and immediately right turn. Street parking on the side streets off Bradford Road, if the carpark is full.

Other Information:
Moderate ability – approx. 8 stiles (I lost count!), moderate inclines and descents, steps up, along the route.
Distance 3.1 miles.
No facilities en route. Café and Tescos near the end of the walk.
Walking boots and poles recommended due to uneven terrain.
Cows in one field and a horse in another. Both large fields and animals can be avoided. Keep dogs on leads in the fields.

This morning we celebrated the Baptism of Millie. Caroline Stead led our worship as we reflected on Jelly babies. Apologies that we have missed the start. Caroline is just explaining that there are 6 different types of Jelly babies.

The final amount raised at the "Big Brew" coffee morning for Overgate Hospice was £770 and how lovely it was to see the room full of people enjoying themselves. Thank you to everyone who supported the event in any way. You may have seen publicity this week about the opening of Overgate's beautiful new inpatient unit, a facility for Calderdale made possible because of the generosity of the people of Calderdale.
